Re: I want to Study In Canada

Hi dhanjalbunty, I am not familiar with education in India, hence I don't think I can give my opinion about your case. My only advise is that do your research on where you want to study in Canada. If you wish to pursue a career there, better to enrol in a school with a good reputation. Don't be too trusting towards agents who approach you to enrol in the school they are endorsing.

agree with humdrum, ;)

how much pala did u present sis?

I presented a bit more than the sum required sis. Pero may fault din kasi ako, kasi ilang months pa lang yun naka-stay sa bank (2 months plng). I should have also presented the letter of support from my relatives in Canada stating na they will let me stay at their home during the period of my study, hinanapan na rin kasi ako niyan ng lady na nagcheck ng docs ko sa VFS. I should have been honest (takot kasi ako nun na baka i-question ng VO yung purpose of study ko & etc.) pero lesson learned. Wait nlng ako ng 2-3 months to re-apply again together with the addtl supporting documents. I won't lose hope. :)

Hi EVERYONE!

Question lang. Meron ba dito Nursing Grad and RN na nag apply ng student visa? Ano po yung course/program na inapply nyo and inapprove po ba ng VO? Or if may suggestions kayo if ano maganda itake na related sa course aside from Masteral? thank you. Thank you

Thanks easton,

I submitted an affidavit of support from my parents,
My father's proof of income (my mother is unemployed),
I included in my sop that I have a 4 yo son who will be left behind,

If you have further questions feel free to ask me.

By the way, I just received a message saying my husban's OWP was already approved!!!
Thanks be to God talaga!

hello po ms jaydee,

ask ko lang po if paano nyo inapply husband nyo ng visa? did you apply as one application SP and TRV? mejo nalilito po kasi ako kung iapply ko ba sa partner ko is TRV and OWP same po ba yun? balak ko po kc mag lodge ng application for student permit then iapply ko partner ko. I think madali yung process pag student permit for me lalo na yung instruction andto lahat sa forum. worry ko lang kc yung process for my partner.

Well a friend of mine finished a 4-year course in UP (Music major) and is taking his masters in McGill right now. He's also in this forum; I think his ID is whewhehe or something. Haha. They're organizing a welcome party/meet up for the Pinoys attending McGill in Montreal (I think 7 kami?) when I land this 27th. Lol. So I would have to say that it's more of an institution-specific admission requirement, rather than a blanket requirement for international students applying to grad schools in Canada. Having said that, I recognize the fact that most universities in Canada impose the "bachelors + masters" admission requirement for students applying from the Philippines (or maybe including some other countries as well) kaya it appears like it is, in fact, a general qualification for admission. :)

I wish there are more schools like McGill :)) Btw, I'll be heading to Montreal on the 16th for a conference :) Heard that it's a wonderful place to go to during the summer 8)

Elyxandria: upfront medical does it mean wala kang request from canadian embassy? Tumatanggap ba mga designated clinic ng embassy ng ganun? Ano company po? Gusto ko sana ganun sa bro ko if magka visa ako (hopefully) siya naman mag apply. Thanks
