Yes I sstrongly agree I also used this checklist as a guide. - Be straightforward and concise (VO's have hundreds of applications to screen! Make it convenient for them)
- Answer how is your course in Canada connected to your background and future plans
- Answer what are your ties to the Philippines that will ensure your return after studying
And all together, your application package ideally should include...
- Proof that you have immediate family staying in your home country
- Proof that you are financially stable and are going to Canada to PRIMARILY study
- Proof that you have valuable assets in your home country (property, businesses, etc.)
- Proof that you have a job waiting for you when you come back
- Proof that you are studying in-line with your future goals/career
