SUPER AGREE! I am honestly not putting all my hopes in my application, but God is so good because 4 days ago I received a job offer with very good salary package, so if my application will not push thru, I will most definitely pursue it. God is good all the time.

Hello! I received my refusal letter today, and I am torn between reapplying again or just give up. VO gave me reasons such as purpose of visit and including Proposed studies do not appear reasonable considering current qualifications. Nakakadepress huhu good luck nlng po sa mga waiting pa, God bless!

I feel u sis. Got my refusal letter last two days. Mejo excited kc sa pagaply kaya hindi naayos mabuti mga papers and letter. Nkkadepress pero nagtry ulit ako magaply yesterday with stronger documents and letter. Super tight na sa sched pero hoping pa din. But this time, im not putting my 100% hope na para d na masyado madisapoint f ever cge lng sis, malay natin sa 2nd tym, maaprove na. Marami din akong nabasa na they got their visas on their second try. Be positive sis

yup sis sept intake ako. Reasons nla, not enough fund and di cla satisfied na babalik ako after the program. I admit hindi ko nasubmit mga documents to prove na enough ang funds and hindi ri ako nagmind na gumawa ng strong sop. My bad talaga kung bkt nrefuse. Kaya payo ko lng sa lahat na iexhaust muna c google bfore isubmit ang application. Kung nakita ko lng cguro to bfore, baka my chance pa na maaprove. Hehe! Cge lng, lesson learned na rin. Whats your plan sis? Magrereapply ka?

Pinagiisipan ko parin sis kung reapply ako, dami nnman kc gastos hehe saan school ka pla? Hndi ko nga rin alam pano sila icoconvince na babalik ako dto after the program. Dko na alam pano sisimulan yung sop ko pag magaaply ulit ako.

I think a good explaination letter ( or SOP as you call it) could be one thing that can convince the visa officer in giving you a visa. but also strong ties in your origin country (philippines) is also factor. Like properties (land title, building, vehicles etc), business and family members. In our case i did include all that even if my parents own them. I think the funds in your own name is also a factor. Anyway, there are still a lot out there. Kung sa kanta pa, Don't stop believing! Good luck to all of us!

Hi yes! But one forum member, got study permit for her 6 or 8yo daughter instead of trv because thats what they applied for.

I have to agree with khoykhoy regarding the SOP / explanation letter / study plan haha I think it really helps if you provide one that's backed up with your documents. In a nutshell, a good study plan should...

• Be straightforward and concise (VO's have hundreds of applications to screen! Make it convenient for them)
• Answer how is your course in Canada connected to your background and future plans
• Answer what are your ties to the Philippines that will ensure your return after studying

And all together, your application package ideally should include...

• Proof that you have immediate family staying in your home country
• Proof that you are financially stable and are going to Canada to PRIMARILY study
• Proof that you have valuable assets in your home country (property, businesses, etc.)
• Proof that you have a job waiting for you when you come back
• Proof that you are studying in-line with your future goals/career
