I don't know why Ankara is doing this to us. I know a wife who got PR for her husband from Ankara in 2015 in 6 months. What has changed now? Anyway even though I really like my profession here but it is not fair to my husband to keep working for Canada and paying tax while Canada VO/MP doesn't care. My patience is over and I am just waiting a little bit more and after that Canada will have one less tax payer.

Just don't lose your patience and keep positive. There can be other parameters in the way of processing the delayed applications, like for instance the individual officers personality etc. It is very sad that there is no guarantee to have a decision by the approximate 8-9 months. I haven't seen my husband for 9 months now. Enquiries, as I have observed, involve some sort of non-template reply from someone at the office. Sometimes they reply with helpful comments, sometimes the complete nonsense. I have no idea about what is better to do, and definitely can't be understanding enough in this difficult time for you, but just don't take any decision in rush.

The difference is that we applied in may and June and there is no update, no reply to our emails and no decision yet, you guys just apply in October and November, hopefully everyone get there fair turn, but what is not fair is that they are approving the women faster then men, regardless of how long we have been waiting, that's not fair at all.

I found this in the June 2016 outland forum. It is interesting for me that the file is in Rome. Can we understand from our GCMS note where the file is?

Hi everyone, I applied to sponsor my husband from Iran back in June. Our application is at the office in Rome. They requested a new medical because the previous one had expired, and we sent it at the beginning of December, I haven't heard anything since. Can anyone give me some info on how long I can expect to wait before we hear something more? Thanks!

Yes, on 1st page of GCMS notes under Primary Office and on 2nd page under Paper File > Office:

Hmm interesting, maybe her husband was born or working in Rome? (and then lived in Iran)

It takes about 4 days and yes you have to translate it, also you have to do your medical upfront.
Good luck

Thanks! They have changed the application as of Feb 2017. You do the medical/police report after when they request it.

I am trying really hard to stay calm, but this waiting time it's probably worse than a prison. Still no news.

Did your MP try to contact Ankara on March 15th?

I am wondering if Ankara has accepted any husband (other than those who are citizen of Turkey itself) since May?!! Not anyone I know of from this forum.

It's extremely frustrating that they don't even provide approximate dates and don't reveal anything about security check :(
Already 3 months and 5 days after the interview and still no news...

No news on the applyabroad Persian forum since last time. Ahmelina did you find any forum in your language for spouse sponsorship?

Yes, but there was nobody through Ankara :( it was mostly Warsaw since Russian citizens usually do it through Warsaw, but I was hoping maybe someone did it through Ankara (if they're Azerbaijani but living in Russia). Tried to find anything on Azerbaijani forum, but it was only about studying in Canada. I guess not a lot of applicants are on the forums...
