Ohhh wow a glimpse of hope!!!!!!! You are soooo sweet thank you and hope we hear something really really fast for ALL of us!Mrs.Asag said:Hi Everyone!
My husband just had a chat with our lawyer and he said that some cases that Ankara received in April are being approved.
Any news from anyone who filed in March?
I had you in mind because I know you submitted your application in April like me!Turkey2013 said:Ohhh wow a glimpse of hope!!!!!!! You are soooo sweet thank you and hope we hear something really really fast for ALL of us!
Keep us posted
Lucky to have you around...we have about the same timeline, I will be doing the same too!!Mrs.Asag said:I had you in mind because I know you submitted your application in April like me!
I know I will be checking all the time now so if I see ANY movement, I will let you know!
This time line has been 16 months even before the strike. It's just a safe timeline. I have friends who have had their application approved in 2 months from Ankara... They are known to be one of the fastest embassies in the world.Abe1004 said:That would be great but I am going to be sceptic about that. Because any application submitted in April being approved now means only 5 months processing which would be highly unlikely in the 16 months timeframe given by Ankara plus the strike.
But i am a glass half empty guy and can only hope you guys are right and we get to august apps(such as mine asap )
my dear I will pray to God it works out for you (and everyone else here) as fast as possible. But if I know something about my own luck, its going to take 16 months :/ lol.Mrs.Asag said:This time line has been 16 months even before the strike. It's just a safe timeline. Hopefully that isn't the case! Pray for the positiveAbe1004 said:my dear I will pray to God it works out for you (and everyone else here) as fast as possible. But if I know something about my own luck, its going to take 16 months :/ lol.
Wow, great and hopeful news! If anything this helps to get a little positive thinking back. People using this forum only represent a small percentage of total applicants, so it's interesting to get information from "the others"Mrs.Asag said:Hi Everyone!

Great link! Thanks, SooMazi!SooMazi said:For anyone who may be interested a comprehensive overview of PR processing times (for each category and sub-category and for each visa office) can be downloaded here:

You can change the filters and data sets at the top pull-down menus and bottom tabs of the excel file.
For Spouse and Partner Sponsorship (without dependents) through the Ankara VO in the last 12 Months given (1 April 2012 - 31 March 2013):
1,416 cases were processed, 1,342 cases were approved and 74 cases denied with an approval rate of 95%. This included both Federal and Quebec destinations (numbers are different if only looking at Quebec destined applicants or only Federal).
20% of cases were completed in 7 months
30% of cases were completed in 9 months
50% of cases were completed in 12 months
70% of cases were completed in 14 months
80% of cases were completed in 16 months
What's interesting is over the past year (April 2012-April 2013 SA approvals) based on the active users of this forum the average time for PPR seemed to be between 6 and 8 months. Anyway, just some interesting food for thought this Tuesday morning!

THANK YOU AGAIN SOOOO MUCH XOXOXOMrs.Asag said:Hi all,
Hope you had a great weekend!
I have some more news to share, it may not be news to some but I found it interesting since my spouse is in Canada, unlike most of you
His friend applied for his wife to come to Canada. She was called to send in her passport and recieved her visa only 3 days later! Awesome news for them! Also, when they were there they said that they had at least 6 people working on applications. Hopefully this will increase the number of visas being distributed and more of you can be connected with your loved ones!
Have a good week and HOPEFULLY good news to come for many!

So happy you are going to see him! 9 months is far too long! (You could have a baby by now! How tragic if your husband weren't here with you!!!!)
