Hi all!

I received letter from CIC 3 months ago that my application has been forwarded in Ankara Visa Office, when I check application status it says ,,Decision made,, and how will it be change, are there different ways to check application status or how long time does it take usually... Is there strike action aganeÉ

Hi!
When it says decision made, CIC will send you a letter in the mail telling you if you are eligible to sponsor or not. After that, you will have to wait for your spouse to be approved for sponsorship. The next status change is your spouse's status. If they received the application in Ankara, it will say "Application Received." It will stay like this for a while unfortunately as processing is slower due to strike action from PAFSO. Once they begin working on your file it will then say "in processing" and eventually end up saying "decision made."

The timeline on CEC says the whole application should take about 16 months, although it may be sooner or it may be longer - we don't know 100%.

I wish, my husband is in Marmaris, 6 hours from Ankara and 12 hours from Istanbul ((....and for the baby part, ohhhh boy let's wait on that one lollllllllllllllllll!!!

I have some more news to share, it may not be news to some but I found it interesting since my spouse is in Canada, unlike most of you

His friend applied for his wife to come to Canada. She was called to send in her passport and recieved her visa only 3 days later! Awesome news for them! Also, when they were there they said that they had at least 6 people working on applications. Hopefully this will increase the number of visas being distributed and more of you can be connected with your loved ones!

They first applied about 7 months ago so in February.

I received letter from CIC that I am eligible to sponsor my husband and my application has been forwarded in Ankara visa office at 26/06/2013, during this 3 months, I check application status it says ,,Decision made,, so nothing changes everything is same is it normal is somebody at the same situation, people say that their application status has been change already and their application has been forwarded at 07/2013.Is any problem with me((((
