Then it could be a case of wait or IELTS, I've already gone back to see if they can improve the turn around time.

Secondly, I think that there would be a lot of people on this forum who would take some hope from that if they are in a similar points situation to myself.

If there was no chance of it dropping that low, then they might have to re-evaluate how to get more points or at least get into the mind set it will take a while.

I have every intention of re-taking the IELTS once I have had time to study and work has settled.

Even if you find out there are only 8000 people above you, you have no idea if CIC will ever drop below the last score of 434. You won't know if there is even going to be another draw in 2017. That's the information you need.

True I have no idea what the CIC will do, I can only speculate and i'd rather know in confidence that I have a chance whilst waiting for the time to re-do IELTS.

If there isn't going to be another draw in 2017 then they won't ever hit their target.

Yes, I have. I retook my IELTS.

For me retaking IELTS and improving my score was a priority. It was not fun taking the IELTS 5 times and spending £160 each time.

I still dont understand what you will do with that data.

Didn't you read? he's very busy and doesn't have time to study. That data will give hope to him and other people in this troubled time.

It's an informed decision.

If there are say 10,000 people between 420 and 430 you can make the case for seeing where the cut of is in 3 draws time, depending that ITA's still continue at the rate of 3000 a draw (or 3500 ideally)

You will get your data after a month. So you will be out of $100 + HST and by the time you get your info, the whole of April will be over. We are almost at the end of March now. Your data will be outdated.

Data will still be live snapshot as of that point, i've asked them to clarify that.

I don't want a month out of date data.

Based on the last draw, it seems you may have your answer. 3749 ITAs at 441. I'm not sure that the info would be as out of date as some of the other people here. There may be some slight upward mobility from people improving their language scores, but IRCC has this to say in the 2015 report:

Candidates with a CRS score below 450 have never been issued an invitation to apply and the majority of them have been in the pool for more than a few months.

It's only a snapshot, but it would elucidate the density of candidates in a very critical CRS range at a time when the CRS threshold may approach said range in future draws. I say go for it.

Based on the numbers released as of March 29, looks like there are about 6,000 profiles at or above 418.
