Hello!

I'm a Canadian living in Syria with my Syrian husband, and we just submitted our paperwork about a month ago. We got the SA very quickly, and the files have now been transferred to Amman.

I was feeling very hopefully about a speedy process (officially, they're supposed to be expediting Syrian Family Class applications) but looking through this thread I am not feeling so hopeful

The situation here is so bad, and I can't imagine us living like this for another 1-2 years.

Do you have any helpful advice for me? Or anything that might make me feel a bit better?

I also see that many of you tried contacting your MPs throughout your application process, with no luck. I thought the government was supposed to be concerned with the situation here...

My advice for u is to go to Beirut and apply from there bcoz there is a huge load on amman office u r gonna wait for 2 years so as long as its been only a month sice u applied its more easier to withdraw the file

Old. They haven't asked for second medical request.. They started processing the file
On March 24, 2014.. I thought they would ask for range second medical by now but honestly nothing what so ever. Now what?

hi my friend please if you do not know the answer do not miss lead the others . civil status means الاحوال المدنيه so you bring from there papers for your status if you married or single and if you married you can ask them for قيد مدني بالحاله الاجتماعيه وعدد افراد الاسره

They sent us an emailed just now asking to redo the medical in Canada since my husband is in Canada. Now I am even more stressed, they want a certificate from General Jordan intelligence department- what is that? And they want proof that he will return to Jordan. How will we do that?! We gave proof in Jordan when he applied! And they stated it must be more than a stated intention to return. And I have to go a pay the permanent resident last fee. Why am I paying the fee now and he didn't even get the PR ?! Why must they put me in so much pressure and stress!!! It's enough that I'm stressed out because of my appointments due to my pregnancy.

Well, its been about 35 days since the empassy received the requested documents
And i kept sending them e-mails about how long it would takes
They reply

Still didnt know how long it will takes???

So the good conduct certificate is not the police certificate? And they also ask for me that I will be returning to Canada. But I am already in Canada I am not going back to Jordan. I think they ask for me not my husband.

yes, it's completely different. The applicant has to do the GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE NOT the sponsor
