Hey everyone.. Just wondering if you all heard the news canada will open an embassy in baghdad in februAry 2014.. I think thats good news hopefully our applications will all be done faster that way since they will be limited to iraqis only.. What do u all think? I tried to post the link but it wont let me

Finally!! Now they can transfer all the applications there and Jordan embassy can process faster!!!

Just be patient its been a year for me and i still have a lot left too but i know in the end we will recieve the visa jt just takes time.. When i was trying to do a visit visa for my husband my mp told me it will delay the processing of my sponsorship he told me you will make a big mistake.. I dont know how true that is but i decided to just wait untill we get our sponsorship. I know its hard but theres nothing you can do except wait. As i mentioned before since we are having the embassy opening in baghdad you will get ur application done so much quicker inshallah.. Good luck

My husband applied for a visit visa in December of last year,and was approved Thank God!
He was here for a month and then I stayed with him in Jordan for 6, we also applied for a multiple visit visa in September and were approved.

His visa is good until 2015 and we`re hoping that he`ll get PR by the end of this year inshallah.

Just make sure that when you apply that you`re very well organized,you need bank statements for the last 6 months ( for him) letters from his work confirming that he has a job to come back to. The whole point is to convince the embassy that he wont just stay in Canada,he needs to go back to Jordan.

If they feel that he intends on staying in Canada then they`ll deny you instantly. I wrote my husband an invitation letter and so did my dad. You need to include your place of employment too,and since you`re currently living in Jordan Im not sure if they would approve it.

I don`t feel it`s slowed down the process for us, if anything after we applied for the 2nd visa, we got the request for the 2nd medicals. Not all cases are the same ofcourse! Let me know if you need anymore information and good luck! I know it`s hard to wait,especially when you`re away from home. I don`t speak arabic,so it was really difficult for me to get around alone but I love Jordan!!

You're absolutely right. I do have a job waiting for me in Canada. I am still not sure what to do. As 2gether4ever said,, they are opening an embassy in baghdad ..so hopefully maybe by April or March we can get the golden email!

We keep saying we will do a multiple visa but then we say no. We are very confused.

I believe 3 days if in person. 1 week via courier company but 2-3 til u get it back
