I got my GCMS notes a couple weeks ago and it stated that they require my family list or civil status showing as married. My wife went to Sarsink in North Iraq to get this, they told her that their is no such thing as a family list but there is something called AQIL ZAWJ where it shows on Iraqi documents that you and your wife are married. It has her name her father's and mother's name and my name and my father and mother's name. She got the paper and now she needs to go to Arbil to get it stamped and approved. I have not gotten an email even though my application is before you and they have started process Feb. 4th, 2013. If I don't get it soon I will call the embassy to find out what is going on.

PLEASE AGAIN WRITE IN ENGLISH... It's really hard to follow along...

Yes this is what my wife said the document will become. It first is done as a document called AQIL ZAWJ then you take it to Erbil to get processed and it becomes SURAT QAID I don't know what the number 57 means..

Yes there is such thing called family book (surat qayd) my wife got one for us as a married couple with our parents' names, and another one for her with her family members such as, father, mother and siblings. We sent those with our application from the beginning.

Salaam my friend,
Is it AQIL or AQID ZAWAJ ? Aqid zawaj is the marriage contract or certificate which you get that from the iraqi civil affair court in your Iraqi city. This paper shows everthing that proves you got married to each other. My questions why does the visa office in Amman then askg for family list or some document like ( قيد دار = family list as married ) when everthing is mentioned officially in the Iraqi Marriage Certifcate ( contract) which is the most important document that family sponsorship asking for ?

I have another question: the visa office is asking for " SHADATT AL JENSIA " Should my wife send it to Amman just in Arabic or should she translate first and then send it ?

Make sure you translate everything or else they will not even bother accepting it.They do have workers that can read and understand Arabic, but their policy states everything must be translated.

Sorry its AQID ZAWJ and you get that from your city like you said, if you ask them at their desks tell them that you are wanting SURAT QAID they will direct you to Erbil or Baghdad to finish it off. Personally I would go to Erbil as it is safer.

From my understanding it's both, but I would watch both of them very closely, remember check the Spam / Junk folders.

I.Kat ... did you get a PPR too ?

NO, just the applicant got the email in our case; me, the sponsor, nothing at all - not even ur file is done LOL

i couldnt access my e-case i dont know what that means but i will stay positive ???

it does not mean anything; e-cas does not really reflect the officers' work; there r different systems; after seeing the gcms notes i start to think that the officers don't work on it at all; it's a separate system with some logic / automatic programming behind; periodically (every week?!) it checks each gcms file - if there r any important changes/additions there it will change a value to "in process" that's it ;)
we couldn't aceess it either for maybe 3 weeks ::) when they fix for some they break it for others ;)
