Overall i hope Amman picks up and does more applications. it looks like most of their time is spent on processing refugees files

it looks like Amman VO is closed because of what happend in Jordan ( the flood), because I tried to call them many time and its always the answer machine saying the embassy is closed. I wanted to make sure if they got my documents that I sent them, but coudnt reach them.

That sucks, they don't even inform us. I am so frustrated with how citizens are getting treated in this process. So much for our rights.

I have a question for those who received their visas... how much time does the embassy give a person to enter Canada after they get their pr? I heard a person has until their medicals expire. But is that really true, because my husband's medicals already expired and he just redid them in Dec. so when insha'Allah he gets his visa (hopefully soon!), he has till Dec. 2013 to travel to Canada? That seems like an awfully long time for an embassy to give a person...

Hey there is two options depending on which expires first you passport or medical. So if you passport expires in June and you medical in December. You're visa is valid until June. If your medical expires lets say in February and passport in June. Then you only have until February.

don't worry, embassies r always quiet towards the end of the year but now the holidays r over and they will start in full swing!!! (unless they will stay up for the hockey games lol)

i wouldnt worry much there might be a buffer for file transfer maybe 2 months for amman to get all your documents.

i got AOR in april and amman got my application documents transfered in June

same here!! sponsor approval in april, the whole phisical file transfer took around 6 weeks until june; and yeah our medicals expired already, we don't hurry to redo them yet and soon we'll hit the 1 year since we sent our application!! woow

Yes they are back alhamdullah, I called them to ask if they got my emil with the required documents. they told me they gonna send me an emil next week...I wish if it gonna be passport request emil!

actually i just did, we ordered new set yesterday; it's been already 4 months since the old ones, in 4 months a lot can happen orrrr nothing i was thinking like this before 10 min now i'm sure there should b some new things in the notes; our e-cas now shows "in process" and a new line is added "we started processing ur application on January 13 2013" woow it's really nice feeling to see some change and i wish u all see it soon (or just get the visa directly )

thats great news missmini!, my app still shows application received. i will be ordering new set of notes in mid February. did you redo medicals ? or are you waiting for the embassy to email you ?
