I wish you all a happy new year although I feel very sad and depressed for what's happening now in iraq. The situation is getting worse and worse by the minute. Any idea how the visa office in Amman is going to handle our applications with this miserable situations in Iraq ? I worry that the processing time will jump maybe to 24 months. الله يستر , مصيبة مصيبتنا

Right now, the Amman VO is handling Syrian applications with priority processing, due to the civil unrest there. The situation in Iraq would have to escalate to violence before being considered for priority processing. It is sad but true. Inshallah we will start to see quicker processing in this following year .. Happy new year and God bless

My wife just got her new police certificate from baghdad and i payed the rest of teh fees last week, now im sending all the requested documents by emil.

Try to log into this website https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do?app=.

with UCI or B/F number that is written on the approval of sponsorship paper. Also you can call CIC Mississauga ((905) 803-7904) and ask them when did the file reach Amman they will tell you, I have done this before.

As for the medical test some people have waited for them to request for a redo and others like myself had gone ahead and done the medical before they requested. So on this matter I am not sure what to advice you, I hope someone else can provide their opinion as well to help you

My wifes Medical were done in December of 2011 making them expired now, during November I contact my lawyer ( and several others ) and asked them the same question you are asking now. I was told the same thing by all, I should wait for the request. They gave several reasons why : Second medical could cause confusion, Also because the VO is aware the process takes longer then 1 year, there is a strong chance they can extend your medical expiry, Lastly this ties into the 1st reason on confusion, The medical process is constantly changing so new forms must be filled etc. When they send you a medical request they will provide you with the forms and instructions they want followed.

The reason I wanted to redo my medicals was to reduce the delay, but I was told if I did them on my own I might actually cause more delay. Who to say which is better .. I dont know. So now I wait .. I hope this decision doesn't hurt me later. So that is my experience in the matter

For us we decided to go ahead and do them before they asked and it worked out fine they updated our status online saying medical results received so its a matter of luck. But it is better to stay on the safe side.

my lawyer said to wait t'il they ask for them, so we don't have to go through this process twice. so now we are waiting.

Thank you for answer i check cic website the approval letter was sent in the end of may so i expected they send my application to amman on may but the problem is when check spreadsheet i note amman received only one file in may and there is another person in this site say his file send on may also that confuse me i think must call them to be sure throw above nomber

FYI they just updated the spreadsheet for the 3rd quarter of 2012 i will post my thoughts after i go through it

From Jan 2012 to Sep 2012
1)processing times down to 19 months from 20 months
2) looks like amman processed 113 cases total
86 applications passed
12 failed
15 withdrawn
88% approval rate.
from Jan 2012 till Sep 2012 amman received 198 applications.

50% of the cases where processed in 16 months
80% of the cases were processed in 19 months

stats from Jan till June ( last quarter)

Approved 56
12: rejected
13: withdrawn
total 81
approval rate : 82%

so from Q2 to Q3 ( 3 months ) Amman finalized 30 extra applications. all of them approved.

from this i can conclude amman does 10 applications a month.

I have to tell you that i saw the spreadsheet of the application received in amman.VO. and i found that they dont reiceved any file in august and september 2012 . So where is my file im so worried about it
Do you have any idea ?????? Or it.s normal ? Please help.me

i wouldnt worry much there might be a buffer for file transfer maybe 2 months for amman to get all your documents.

i got AOR in april and amman got my application documents transfered in June
