Hera Baker- My applicant completed his interview back in December 12, 2011 and still no news ! So I guess its different for everyone's case.

Canada Girl,

That's crazy? Is that even fair? How did the interview go? How did he feel walking out? He did his interview in Syria I'm assuming?

I came back to Canada to finish up school and I decided to stay here a little longer since his interview is soon. I've already booked a ticket for him 3 days after the interview, haha! This is tough! I told myself I would never do shipping and handling and here I am. How are you doing it? Living apart and all? I'm heading back as soon as I find out what happens during the interview. It's too much! Men are so hard to deal with when you're apart and long distance relationships are always very vulnerable and more likely to fail!

I will try and update everyone. Hang in there!

He completed his interview in Syria. He said it was simple only took about 15 minutes long and they asked him very simple, general questions. He was not nervous at all. He said it went well. If you ask me how I'm handling it being apart..I myself don't know how . I am very stressed at times ! Sometimes happy sometimes moody lol. His mother tells me I'm so patient, I guess my impatience doesn't show hehe. Good luck to you and please keep us all updated :)

Hi samaseemo,
check the original Damascus page. I personally posted the details of our CAIPS results in there. Just search CAIPS in Damascus page. I have also submitted a second CAIPS order just a couple of days before we got the ppr. I'll let you huys know if there is anything important in it, other than the info in the first one!

Good luck

In curious about many applicants here why are your files taking so long.

Did you check capis/gcms notes to check on the status.

Hope we start to see more actoivity from Amman.

hiii samaseemo how r u?
just my thoughts on this: taking 1 year for an application is long but comparing with other embassies overall it's average; damascus used to b 9 months processing then 11 then 13 then they closed; one reason why even simple cases take long is the region and the situation around (like transfer of files, training of new officers, security, more checks just cuz of the region, even one small extra check could take longer just because the way different agencies and people work/don't work, even the postal services r not reliable); also there r many applications vs not so many officers and for most of this time most of the files will just stay in line and maybe get opened after 10 months (like it was for the sponsor approval, of course shorter but same idea)

many ppl who did order caips had nothing there (it looks that their files were not touched at all) and then after 2-3 weeks they got the visa....not sure what that means and not sure if that's the usual wayor they were just exceptions ::)

anyway the system is unpredictable so don't analyze and don't think abt it too much :)

by the way did amman give u any news? (aor, something?) does ur ecas have any recent changes? nothing at our side...good luck!! :)
