today somebody I know got their ppr after 1 month and 27 days after arriving in Ankara office which says 11 months. It should be the same for Amman. It's not what they put on their website. That's the maximum

Do they have a refugee status from the UN?

I hear you, but there is not much we can do about that. I know 2 people who got their wives to canada via Amman Vo, their application took 23 and 22 months from the date applied, however that was 2 years ago. I dont know anyone personally who got approved recently.

One other source of really ppl is our Amman Sheet, you can can find the link in my signature. I think you cant compare Amman to Ankara, my Application was transfered to Amman early May, they still havent asked for documents and havent heard anything from them, its been 6 months already, although my application is straight forward. So the timeline posted on CIC is not all wrong after all.
On the sheet for Amman it took the last person who got the visa, 8 months, so there is hope.OUr problem is that we don't know if it will be better for my husband to quit his job in Erbil and go back to Iran and then make a request for our app to be transferred to Ankara or to stay in Erbil and wait for his visa to be issued from Amman. We don't know which one is faster :-(

That guy in the sheet was in a war zone (syria) with his wife, that why his application was a priority. the same if you have a refugee status your application would get into the priority queue. btw even if your husband moves back to Iran, I dont think you can transfer the Application to Ankara, it is not that simple. since they transfer the application to Amman, it means your application contains important documents for a country that Amman Vo is responsible for, and most probably that is Iraq. so moving back to iraq doesnt solve your problem. Im not an expert here so this info might be wrong. Start a new thread and ask about that, there are many good ppl in this forum that can advice.

I did e-mail, phone calls, in person, wrote actual letters. I did everything. She said that it is common once your case has been in the office for 3-6 months for them to contact you either for additional documents, or for an interview. From what I understand regarding the new vs. old in process, my file was in process on July 2nd. which means that between May 27th, and July 2nd they checked background checks. They did ask for additional documents because I added everything that was needed. It may also be because he didnt serve in any military which was a big bonus for me.

Again, I finally ordered notes today and should receive them within 30 days. Ill let you know but the consular told me that all my documents are good and they want to interview my husband. She said they made the decision on November 5th and I should see the email within 10-15 days

hopefully you'll know a date soon!! at least after the interview there not alot of wait time after that .. so hopefully you'll be back in Toronto by new years!!! keep us posted :):)

Oh god!! i have a long way to go :(:(

Hi
Can somebody tell me how long does it take for the VO to contact you when your case arrives in Amman? Do you have to just wait and wait to hear from them? Our application arrived in Amman 36 days ago. When is a good time for us to order the notes.after 3 months of arriving in Amman or later? Is there any hope that it takes 1 year and not two years.please give me some information.Somebody who was decision made recently. How long was the file in Amman. Please share information.

Hi I submitted my husbands application in Aug 2015 and they started processing it in Amman in Oct 2015. Visa office just sent me a letter requesting more documents, is that concerning since it is too early at this time? or should i be happy?
The wording of the questions seem like they are questioning everything we said. My husband and I have been together for about 7 years but we just got married in April 2015 because of some family and passport issues.
Anyways I am really worried and I am just wondering if someone has gotten a request for more documents this early?
another thing is they are saying they need explanation for something like " MY husband graduated from a university in Poland" and my husband has never been in Poland. I do not know what to tell them about that, should I just say we have no idea and he is never been in Poland
Please Help
