Do they have a refugee status from the UN?elllham said:today somebody I know got their ppr after 1 month and 27 days after arriving in Ankara office which says 11 months. It should be the same for Amman. It's not what they put on their website. That's the maximum
On the sheet for Amman it took the last person who got the visa, 8 months, so there is hope.OUr problem is that we don't know if it will be better for my husband to quit his job in Erbil and go back to Iran and then make a request for our app to be transferred to Ankara or to stay in Erbil and wait for his visa to be issued from Amman. We don't know which one is faster :-(dedoz said:I hear you, but there is not much we can do about that. I know 2 people who got their wives to canada via Amman Vo, their application took 23 and 22 months from the date applied, however that was 2 years ago. I dont know anyone personally who got approved recently.
One other source of really ppl is our Amman Sheet, you can can find the link in my signature. I think you cant compare Amman to Ankara, my Application was transfered to Amman early May, they still havent asked for documents and havent heard anything from them, its been 6 months already, although my application is straight forward. So the timeline posted on CIC is not all wrong after all.
That guy in the sheet was in a war zone (syria) with his wife, that why his application was a priority. the same if you have a refugee status your application would get into the priority queue. btw even if your husband moves back to Iran, I dont think you can transfer the Application to Ankara, it is not that simple. since they transfer the application to Amman, it means your application contains important documents for a country that Amman Vo is responsible for, and most probably that is Iraq. so moving back to iraq doesnt solve your problem. Im not an expert here so this info might be wrong. Start a new thread and ask about that, there are many good ppl in this forum that can advice.elllham said:On the sheet for Amman it took the last person who got the visa, 7 months, so there is hope.OUr problem is that we don't know if it will be better for my husband to quit his job in Erbil and go back to Iran and then make a request for our app to be transferred to Ankara or to stay in Erbil and wait for his visa to be issued from Amman. Thank you for your help.Maybe u're right but I just need some hope. We might be able to transfer our app to Ankara though. I need to find more info.I don't think I can live alone for 2 yearsdedoz said:That guy in the sheet was in a war zone (syria) with his wife, that why his application was a priority. the same if you have a refugee status your application would get into the priority queue. btw even if your husband moves back to Iran, I dont think you can transfer the Application to Ankara, it is not that simple. since they transfer the application to Amman, it means your application contains important documents for a country that Amman Vo is responsible for, and most probably that is Iraq. so moving back to iraq doesnt solve your problem. She said that it is common once your case has been in the office for 3-6 months for them to contact you either for additional documents, or for an interview. From what I understand regarding the new vs. old in process, my file was in process on July 2nd. which means that between May 27th, and July 2nd they checked background checks. They did ask for additional documents because I added everything that was needed. It may also be because he didnt serve in any military which was a big bonus for me.
Again, I finally ordered notes today and should receive them within 30 days. Ill let you know but the consular told me that all my documents are good and they want to interview my husband. She said they made the decision on November 5th and I should see the email within 10-15 days

Hi I submitted my husbands application in Aug 2015 and they started processing it in Amman in Oct 2015. Visa office just sent me a letter requesting more documents, is that concerning since it is too early at this time? or should i be happy?elllham said:today somebody I know got their ppr after 1 month and 27 days after arriving in Ankara office which says 11 months.
