And can I physically be present during ADR or is it something which happens with just the documents exchange?
The adr hearing is a formal hearing with the sponsor minister counsel and your lawyer in the roon but your lawyer can not talk because they just going to ask the sponsor questions.

Can someone help me how to contact my mp and if I do contact will it affect my case??

www.parl.gc.ca

Good Luck

does anyone know what happens when you are successful in your appeal?

I am trying to track my file. I contacted IRB and they said they sent it to CBSA ... and CBSA said they sent it out. All this happened on Jan 11.

Do they send to Ottawa or directly to the Visa Office. If they send to Ottawa, is there a phone number I can call to track it down? 1-888-242-2100 is a dead end.

Usually your file gets forwarded to Ottawa and they will contact you for additional documents or whatever next step you need to take.

When did you win your appeal?

Hey wintersnow. Once they received all your documents it goes to security. That part is not done by cic but by security offices in the country of the applicant and other world wide security agencies like interpol etc. I have talked to my local mp. They were able to contact the cic and were told that the maximum time it can take for the processing after the application is received (after appeal they treat it like is new) can be up to 17 months. That would exclude the the 2 months they use to approve the sponsor. It does not mean it will take that long just that its the maximum time they have to finish processing. Really i hope is not that long.

Hi, the MP can not speed up the process. they can only get information as to what is happening to your file. My MP was able to tell me what is happening to our file. They said that now is the final stage and they doing the security checks. Immigration has no control over how long that will take because they are not the ones doing it. Just i know that once the medical and criminal have passed and all is in order with the application then they do security.

Give it about 2 more months before you hear back from them. Most likely they will be asking for your medical and police clearance next.

any reason they have refused the sponsorship???

Are you still waiting for it?? if so since when?
