Hi everyone,
Congrats on receiving your visa so promptly. Is there preference for egyptians? I'm just wondering because it doesn't make sense to why certain people are not receiving any response at all while others are going through the whole process. Would love to know if you have any tips for those of us still waiting.
Thanks :)
What about your experience with the embassy ?

I have submitted a file to sponsor my husband, who is in Sudan, on Feb. 05, 2013. Our file was sent to Cairo on May 28th, and on June 06 Cairo Office asked me to send the Schedule A and Generic form because they said they were missing. I am 100% certain I sent them but it might have gotten lost in the process, no big deal, it happens. Anyway I resent these forms the next day and have yet to hear anything from CIC or Cairo. I have sent emails but they do not respond back. I asked for our files to be transferred out of Cairo because of all the closures but CIC informed me that they can't make that decision and only Cairo can decided if they are not able to process the file and thus choose to transfer it else where. I sent the same request to Cairo and they have yet to respond back. So far we have been waiting 7 month. I know this is still within the processing time but I just don't understand why there is such variance between processing times (both between and within visa offices). We have all payed the fees and we all have the right to sponsor our family members. I just don't understand why certain files are being processed faster then others. Our lives are on hold and it is very difficult to make concrete decisions about work and education because we don't know where we are in the process or how much longer it will be. Ahh God grant us patience.
