Hi Vlil,

I am trying to collect some evidence for my case. I would like to spend some time preparing that. After that I think I can start requesting ADR to IAD. Now I can not do that because I did not send any evidence. I only get the blue book.

Since my application has many red flags and I am not sure I can get an ADR.

Do you think I can request ADR by phone without sending any evidence?

Last week I tried to call to IAD and I did not get any response. After waiting for 20 minutes the call was cancelled.

Hi everyone. I put in for appeal December 2014 and received the blue book early 2015. I guess the blue book is the whole documents we presented when we filed in for application. Right? Ever since then we have not heard a word back from them. The only reason they rejected our application was simply because they taught we did not convinced them enough that our marriage is genuine and still ongoing. We have filed in for the appeal since December 2014 in Toronto. Please can anyone tell me how much longer do we need to wait before we hear from them? Is it getting closer? The wait and silence is killing us.

Deep33 no one knows how a case get approve for ADR hearing... According to IAD if your case can be resolve withing 1hr or less then you will get an ADR hearing. If a person get ADR it take about 6-8 month to have the hearing once appeal process is started....
Yes you have to apply for the appeal first....Then the will contact you saying the receive your application for the appeal. After that you have to wait i think 120 days for them to send you the bluebook which is your file that cic have on you. Once you get your bluebook then you can request an ADR hearing but it not a guarantee that they will grant you your wish for an ADR hearing. But they always say nothing try nothing done. Good luck on your appeal journey................... Maddants

Hey apuniano how are you doing... I think is better if you write a letter to the IAD office that is dealing with your appeal and address all there concerns and show the the evidence to back up your argument.. You have a better chance than just calling them on the phone to request an ADR hearing. that is just my view plus i never hear of anyone just calling them and request an ADR and they just grant that person it. if you have a lawyer than the lawyer will request it for you.

Hey macus how are you doing today. it will take about 120 days give or take to get your blue book. Toronto office is very slow and the wait time to get a full hearing date take about 2 yrs and if they select you for a ADR hearing then it would take about 5-8 months for that. Just pray that you get a ADR hearing because that shorter than a full hearing. You have to stay strong during this waiting for appeal process to be finish. The best thing to do is start collecting alot more evidence to help your case out and you and your spouse to go over everything from day one until now. Make sure you both know each other inside out and good luck with your appeal process.

Thanks Maddants. It's nice hearing from you. Thos month makes it the 13th month since I filled in for the appeal. We received the blue book about March or April last year. Ever since then nothing yet.

Hi Maddants.

Thank you for your advise. I will work with my lawyer to collect all my evidences and address Visa Officer concerns. I will ask my lawyer to write a letter requesting ADR. I hope I get one. When I hired a lawyer before appealing he told me that my case it is a little difficult and I would get a full hearing. Now with more evidences I will try to request ADR.

Thanks again.

Have a great day

Yes...Just tell your lawyer that you want them to request an ADR hearing... It wont hurt you case at all and if they dont grant you it then at least you can say you tried to get it

Everyone on this thread was in the same boat at one point in time...Meaning that we appealing our case. Some ppl won there case and some ppl did not. It very hard for a person if they lose there appeal hearing. I sure feel it in my heart for those ppl... So im just giving my advice to ppl who need it. I maybe wrong at some point but im not perfect. VG73 it is my pleasure on helping a person out when i see they need help...I would love for everyone to win there appeal so they can get reunited with there spouse in the coming future. So hang in there everyone that waiting for a hearing date or waiting to have there hearing..... The biggest thing why ppl lose there appeal is that they contradict themselves. So ppl make sure you and your spouse in on the same page with all your answers and go over everything with your spouse day in and day out.
