so finally today i got my SINP nomination

Did u give IELTS for SINP - skilled worker category? If yes, what is minimum point requirement? I heard it is 5, is that true?

Where r u from India? I just want to know. I am from Gujarat.

I am also waiting since 3 months. Didn't hear anything yet?

Have you visited any other country then India for more than 6 months? do you need any other country's Police clearance certificate?
I visited USA for more than 6 months, so I need Police Clearance Certificate. So, I was thinking to applying now. Because It takes 2 months to receive that PCC. It's already 3 months and it will take 2 months to receive that PCC from USA. By that time, I will get SINP nomination also & PCC also. Give me your opinion on this.

Have you submitted your file to CHC, New Delhi?

Lots of questions. But, If you can give me answer, it will be a great help.

This time is really frustrating for me right now. Didn't hear anything from CHC, New Delhi since 3 months. So, Just worrying what's going on there.

yes IELTS required to score 35 points. english has 10 point weight. they determine your points based on your IELTS score. i had 7 band.
if your education is in english speaking country, you dont need IELTS but still how much point they give you is still remain questioned.
if your employer sign an affidavit about your english proficiency, you dont need to take IELTS but that won't fetch you enough point.

remember, SINP skilled worker is totally point based. somehow you need to score atleast 35 point, and present all documents to prove your point claim.

its better to apply for PCC in advance, it will save your time, i didnt apply so for now i m in the process of obtaining PCC,

i lived in canada for 6 yrs other than india. my education is in canada so basically that might have speed up the process.

the less documents they have to process, the quicker your nomination will issue.

Did u also apply for Canada PCC? If yes, Did you require finger prints taken from India and send it to Canada for PCC? Where did u take your finger prints for that?

I want to start my PCC for USA procedure. I need fingerprints for that.

Did you apply through any consultant or by yourself?

Are you from Mechanical background or IT background?

Let's see when I will get my nomination. It will take atleast 5 months for sure. May be more.

@ powerbyj: In india it takes 1 month to receive PCC. the problem is they will keep your passport with them. so i was gonna apply for PCC but choose not to. i have applied for work permit @ CHC ND n they have my passport. what i intend to do is once i get work permit, i will get pcc from indian consulate - toronto. i am going to swift current. its good to be in touch. you can add me to your

@ailethe: yes its true we can start working as soon as we get SINP nomination but you have to apply for work permit to your local consulate.

Additional Documents Sent : June 2010
Nominated : March 2011
Medical Done : 19 June 2011
Passport Sent : 27th July 2011

I once called the Nairobi Office , as am from Mauritius, they said to wait 4 - 8 weeks. Its been 3 months already and no news
