From what i know so far, child birth is not considered a valid reason at all by visa officers for a person to be there on a visit. They believe the services in Canada are self sufficient for you to go through. I am not for a minute advocating it, but from what i have heard / seen other rejections, this is very likely the basis.

that seems to be the case... that is interesting and unfortunate considering how important our children's births and upbringing are to the Canadian government

My spouse is Canadian national and i applied for TRV in Aug-13 so that i could visit my wife during the birth of our child. I was rejected after 15 days in Sep-13. The three reasons that they stated were:

1) Travel History. ( Which made no sense as i had multiple UK(Study & Visitors), Middle east, Thailand) visa
2) Family Ties in Canada
3) My personal assets.(which also made no sense as i showed my house, cars and other financials).

I re-applied for the TRV on 05-Nov-13 with detailed justifications for all of the above points and after one month on 05-Dec-13 i got an email stating that i should submit my "Proof of Marriage" via email.

Just wanted to check if its a positive sign for me or not.

My parents temporary visa and super visa has been rejected once. The reasons given for super visa rejection were: 1) Travel History 2) Family ties in home country and 3) Personal Assets and finances.

My other two siblings and I are not living in Pakistan which I think might be the main reason for rejection. My parents have never travelled to Canada although they go to UK quite often and have never overstayed. In my opinion the personal assets are good too. My father has a house, few real estate properties, a small business and a pension.

I contact the Member of Parliament from my region so I can get more info about the rejection. But the Visa office refused to give any more information.

Now I am not sure how to proceed. If nothing significant has changed what can I tell the Visa Officer that will convince him that my parents will return to Pakistan? My mother has a US visa. Should I plan a trip for her to US (like buy the tickets) and then apply for Canadian TRV again, in the hope that the Visa Officer will be more convinced of my intentions.

Any advise on how to proceed is appreciated. Thanks,

I have completed 16 years of educations. I did B.Com (2 years) and MBA in Finance (2 years).

Is my qualification according to Canada is under-graduated or it will be treated as Post-graduated?

Please please elaborate little bit.

You definitely need to order gcms notes to see the actual reason first. From your given description it looks like a pretty okay profile. Notes will tell the real story. Information on how to obtain them is all over this forum.

In one phrase under-grad. 15 or 16 years is still under-grad. One with at least 17 years with some further requirements will qualify for masters. One way to see details of this closely is to go through the skilled worker immigration program points calculator (FSW). It asks for details of your education at one point.

That being said, please do know that Canada is notorious for not accepting foreign educations. They have their own regulations about each and every profession. I will write an example of a profession close to yours.

I know some body who did an MBA in HR being a position holder, taught for some time in his university and latter worked in HR of PIA for many years. Still when he went on immigration to Canada, HR is a total different concept there i.e. it has to be some one with a bare minimum education of legal system and practices specific to Canada. Suffice to say, he CANNOT be employed in an HR role in Canada since qualifications don't exactly fulfill the requirements. Note the difference, i didn't say he didn't get a job, that might vary from person to person, but rather his Pakistani qualifications and experience was not enough for a similar role in Canada. So he took some other jobs while doing courses of HR and stuff there and it took a while to get through.

It is far more complex for engineering graduates or Doctors whose professions are regulated ones and really difficult to be fulfilled with foreign education.

However, there are positives too for e.g. IT is considered a skill, so there is no formal requirement and often people's experience is valued and accepted as it is without much further effort depending upon need of specific skill set and expertise.

I want to bring my wife and daughter here for summer but for the first time they got refused that time my wife wasn't working, i was working at coffee shop in Alberta and now she is working at high school as a physics teacher. They are in Uzbekistan and Canadaian embassy in Moscow is responsible for uzbek citizen.

And also, please advise on what makes the case strong.

- I am a University Student with < $15,000/annual income
- My husband is well settled in Pakistan (Working in his profession, has permanent place of residence)

I would second what dextroo said. They suspect the only motivation you have is to be with your spouse there in Canada permanently and the correct way to do that is go through spousal sponsorship. Attempts for trv seems more like a getaway on passing that time frame.

May be if your spouse has a good profile, it is good idea to find a job for him there, get an LMO and apply for temp work permit.

Though i would say if your spouse has a really good profile back home i.e. very good job + own a good deal of property and stuff / business etc. then an attempt on visit visa might be worth a try.
