I would second what dextroo said. They suspect the only motivation you have is to be with your spouse there in Canada permanently and the correct way to do that is go through spousal sponsorship. Attempts for trv seems more like a getaway on passing that time frame.

May be if your spouse has a good profile, it is good idea to find a job for him there, get an LMO and apply for temp work permit.

Though i would say if your spouse has a really good profile back home i.e. very good job + own a good deal of property and stuff / business etc. then an attempt on visit visa might be worth a try.
Brother FKL it is not easy to get the LMO done, as which employer would do these days. There are so many jobless here in Canada.

I definitely agree sis. But that seems to be the only reliable option to me in this case. Also it matters depending upon the type of job. So many are jobless in Canada but still there are many vacancies for which they fail to find qualified local people. If one happens to possess such skills it would be far easier to get through. There are many such examples and a whole section of this forum on temp workers who go via this route, so it definitely is tough but not impossible. The original poster mentioned husband being well settled so i assumed he might be well qualified / highly skilled or something.

I showed them my properties, my assets, financials n got letter from work. I have work experience for Telecom and Fertlizer Industry but still they rejected me first time around. Now on my second attempt for TRV few days back they asked me to share my Proof of Marriage, seems like they are going thru the application now. because the reasons they gave first time around didnot make sense. like they said i hve no travel history (i have multiple visas (4) of UK, middle east etc. Second they said abt my family ties and third they said i dont have enough assets for which i would come back. though i showed them my house, my cars,n other assets.

In short i feel more than 90% cases of Spouse TRV are rejected as they feel one wont be coming back.

I agree that a rejection is very likely. My point was, making one attempt for CAD 150 to compensate a period of ~3 years is worth a shot still IF you have a good profile may be similar to yours. They always ask for proof of marriage in cases where there is recent marriage and the couple might not have lived together for a long time. So that is a positive sign. Good luck.

Assuming your parents are in Pakistan and they applied from here (or you applied online on their behalf),

http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/pakistan/visas/processing-traitement.aspx?lang=eng
says 40 days on average

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/visitors.asp#asia
says 50 days currently. It used to be longer. So sit back, relax and be patient :)

Dear Seniors,

I have to evaluate my credentials from WES. Please guide me in steps. I have visited WES webiste and thoroughly looked at it and their guidance. I just need to know following queries:-

a. How many degrees and transcripts need to be evaluated from WES? Means each degree and transcript from onwards secondary education?

b. Please elaborate first few steps from where to begin my evaluation process.

I did Intermediate in (Science) then B.com (2 years) and MBA (2 years). Please guide me which level of degrees need to be attested from various authorities and which degree should be sent to WES for evaluation?

Please seniors take out your precious time and reply briefly.

Regards

They won't test you on your knowledge of accounting but you will have to get a Educational Credential Assessment. If you have a Masters, why are you so worried?

I am amazed to see that I have already told this guy to follow Skilled Worker thread.
But he is continuously derailing this TRV related thread here.
