Hi,

Can you please tell me how to check if the passports have been dispatched from the Islamabad High commission ? As i have seen some people mentioning that they checked their status if their passports have been dispatched or not online. My parents applied in Pakistan, Islamabad HC in October, through paper application, they received their medical request via email after 20 days. They got their medical done on November 6th and we are still waiting for their passports. We never received any passports back from High commission after the medical email and people told me that passports will be dispatched after medical is done with the visas.
Not sure how to check if passports have been dispatched.
Any help by anyone will be much appreciated.

Things have changed since the VFS's have been created. But if you have a computer # given by Fedex / VFS (usually it is on the receipt you are given when submitting your application on paper and also you receive via sms and email on the number and email mentioned in the Fedex / VFS form, you can simply plug this number in the field "track your passport" at the below website and it will tell you the status.

hi guys, my seniors went back to home country after 2yrs of stay on super visa. now they wanted to come back. do they have to go with all paper submissions again from zero or they just need to submit their new passports to get new super visa stamp. what will be the duration of next visa stamp again 2yrs or it could be till the passport expiry?
thanks for your prompt feedback

On nov 15 wen i checked ecas it says the decision has been made regarding sponsor application status, they sent me a letter on nov 14 and i havent received the letter so far... Its been 15 days so i called them to ask abt the letter, the call centre agent confirmed me that i have been approved as an sponsor n he has put up a request gor the letter to be delivered.
So my question is i have to apply for trv for my wife... Should i apply without the letter

My spouse is Canadian national and i applied for TRV in Aug-13 so that i could visit my wife during the birth of our child. I was rejected after 15 days in Sep-13. The three reasons that they stated were:

1) Travel History. ( Which made no sense as i had multiple UK(Study & Visitors), Middle east, Thailand) visa
2) Family Ties in Canada
3) My personal assets.(which also made no sense as i showed my house, cars and other financials).

I re-applied for the TRV on 05-Nov-13 with detailed justifications for all of the above points and after one month on 05-Dec-13 i got an email stating that i should submit my "Proof of Marriage" via email.

Just wanted to check if its a positive sign for me or not.

Regards.

It is a positive sign. Send them the copy of your marriage certificate (Canada) or Nikahnama if got married in Pakistan. Hope for the good and you should get a visa.

Asslamualikum dextroo,

Yes that is a positive sign. I had applied for a visitor visa last year Mar 2012 when I was expecting our first child... so that my husband can return to Canada with me for the birth. He was also rejected reasons similar to yours. And the one that got me stumped was.

- no reason stated for visitor visa (when I sent a 2 page letter outlining medical concerns and the importance of my husbands presence at time of birth).

It was as if the immigration officer never even read our application and just rejected it.

I never reapplied after giving birth to our daughter I than submitted his sponsor application Sept 2012.

ASyed :)

Thanks. Exactly I feel that when i applied for TRV for the first time in Aug-13 they never went thru my application becoz at-least the two reasons stated "travel history & Assets" made no sense, seems they out-rightly reject the TRV for those whose spouse is Canadian. We applied for sponsorship in Oct-13. Fingers crossed now for TRV.

From what i know so far, child birth is not considered a valid reason at all by visa officers for a person to be there on a visit. They believe the services in Canada are self sufficient for you to go through. I am not for a minute advocating it, but from what i have heard / seen other rejections, this is very likely the basis.
