Today I got 3 years TRV with multiple entries by the help of Allah.

I am really so so so much thankful to waqar.ahmad150, who really provided me full support and guidance in each step from preparing to submission docs.

My timeline was from 29th June 2013 to 14th Sep 2013
Note: My application was paper based and sent by TCS.

@Ch.immigration, i am sorry to hear about your case. Let me add what i think can help.

Applying online or on paper doesn't matter in terms of acceptance or refusal. But it is likely that online app is processed faster (acceptance or refusal - comes relatively quickly), plus your originals are not held in the embassy for long. Also, if application is incomplete for some reason, you would know instantaneously.

First you should get GCMS notes to know the precise reason. If you know some one in Canada on whose address notes can be delivered you can get those for free. Also there is some on on this forum who helps other with getting those notes without any charges. Wait, you yourself are in canada so you can get those.

It is true that there is no restriction about how soon you reapply. But one should apply when there is some change in circumstances or you feel there was some important assumption by VO which you can sufficiently clarify. Lastly, reapplying too soon without some obvious immediate need to be there appears suspicious to VO in terms of how keen you are to go there and stay.

I would recommend first looking at GCMS notes, if you see something plainly obvious for e.g. you missed some document which gives clear evidence of an area VO found missing and you are submitting that again, then re-apply immediately. Else wait for a couple months.

Lastly, i am not sure but if you are on a work permit or something in a skilled category and your spouse is working here, why don't you apply for an open work permit for her instead. OWP has better chances because it shows a person's profile in detail like educational qualifications, job details etc. and stands a better chance of approval compared to trv in my opinion.

Just FYI me and all of my colleagues who went already applied for open work permits for their spouses and every one has gotten approval so far.

Hi, How come the TRV rejection remarks from VO are written in the GCMS notes. I never heard anything like that. My hubby applied for his TRV from Singapore and he got rejected with the reason '' family ties in Canada' . But we didnt apply our case till that time. We had the refusal letter and it shows the UCI no and also a application no starting from V*********. Can we use this info to get his GCMS notes for his Temp Resident Case. In that case can I apply for his GCMS notes for that TRV refusal case or he can apply himself.
Kindly reply soon as we also want to reapply for TRV next month. Thanks

Just FYI for those who do not know, the reasons written on standard refusal are very very generic. They are written specifically to cover all possible scenarios for justifying VO rather than to specifically pin point the actual cause. Hence GCMS notes are really helpful and one should always consult them after refusal.

To give you a concrete example, GCMS notes are very straight forward compared to a generic political answer. It has things like "claimed job experience in area x of y years, but experience letters didnt support that" or "working in x in Pakistan but wants to go to work in y area which is in fact considered a lower level job than x" etc.

I dnt knw abt open.work permit
if u plz send me some links where I can get a guidance for OPW

I m not sure that after rejection of trv can I apply for another category
like open work permit or study permit

Dear fkl, Do I need a consent from my hubby to pply for GCMS notes of his TRV refusal and one more thing the refusal is almost 10 months old. Can we still order notes for it?

They rejected her trv for the same reasons

It is really sad. Be patient. Do not apply for atleast 2-3 months.

On Saturday, my mom also received the call from TCS, and got her visa. She got 4 yrs multiple entry. She applied via TCS, paper based application on June 27th, 2013. Visa was issued on Sep 12, and she got a call from TCS on 14th. The TCS personnel told my mother that they are receiving a lot of rejections for TRV these days.

4) I traveled to Dubai for some financial courses only, based on my old passport which I lost it a year ago, so I stated in my application that I never travel to any country.
5) I am Manager Accounts. I have 7-8 years of experience)
6) List of docs: Copy of CNIC, Original Passport, two photos, Travel History Form, IMM5257E, IMM5484E, IMM5645E, Invitation letter, Employer letter, Payslip, Bank statement, online travel itinerary which is not returned with application back.

Moreover IMM5257E & IMM5484E, IMM5645E are not returned. Only IMM5257B_1 for spouse is returned.

1. I am married and have a child, good job & study in graduate program
2. Purpose was attending the course
3. Contents of the course is relevant with my job, however I didn't attend such courses before)
4. I attached my own bank statement, had a balance of $8000. I can’t send them company bank statements its hundred million dollars business and are confidential.

According to ur above description, it is clear that you have good experience and balance as well but your travel history is quite week. .

If you want to re-apply then make some necessary arrangements before apply, like attend such local workshops, webinars or trainings etc and you should apply alone and show some sort of proof of your property if you have which will definitely positive for your strong ties.

Dear Waqar,

If you think it is the travel history problem, VO had to check mark me the Travel History problem in the refusal letter. However in my case travel history is clear and VO highlighted the other four reason I mentioned you.

The following thread should answer all of your questions related to gcms notes. It even refers some one who is offering to get it for free. But generally speaking yes you would need a consent form to apply for any one else's notes even if it is your hubby. Any one except the primary applicant himself. Regarding 10 months old i am not sure. I guess if you look for GCMS notes detail on the website, there would be some info about max timeline. You should just apply to be sure. There is no harm in trying.
