IRCC and CBSA are separate federal agencies, and an ATIP request filed with either agency is delt separate by each agency by their respective ATIP division. Just because your IRCC notes are delayed, does not mean that your notes from CBSA will be delayed as well.

Also, in most cases, CBSA is very efficient and if they are unable to meet the 30 days statutory time frame, they will seek an extension of 30, 45, or 60 and in some rare cases 90 days. An extension notice to this effect will be sent to you.

Officers note says "I am satisfied on the balance of probabilities the PA meets eligibility requirement s of section R75/76 (1) (B) of regulations"

"balance of probabilities" is a standard of evidence which in plain language means "more likely than not"

You can request your GCMS notes from CBSA anytime. Requesting GCMS notes has no impact on the processing of your application.

Hello @legalfalcon , I recently received an abridged version of my GCMS notes and on page 9 , under the section EE Eligibility the program assistant makes the following note under the subsection EDUCATION:

(...)EDUCATION---- Primary Applicant Canadian educational credential on file; credential reviewed; Canadian Institution Verified Level of education : (XXX): Foreign credential not provided(...)

I did not claim any points for my non-Canadian degree and hence mentioned it in the "Personal History" Section of my application. Given this comment by the program assistant , should I expect an ADR on this credential or is it nothing to worry since no points were claimed on this credential? Thanks again in advance for your invaluable insights.

If you did not claim points, you will not be asked as long as you have listed this in your personal history and there are no gaps there.

Delays with IRCC are very common. IRCC publishes an annual report that informs how many requests it received and the average time frame within which the information was released.

As per the last published report, between 2019-2020, 49% of the requests filed with IRCC took longer than 30 days to be released, 32% took between 30-60 days, 11% took 60-120 days and 6% took longer than 120 days.

Hi All,

My AOR for Express Entry application for FSW-O is Sep 4 2020. I got married in June'2021 ( 9 months after AOR) and updated IRCC for the same. They have sent a request of documents for me to submit where the first one is the Form IMM-0008 - Generic Application profile.

Now as I have already applied via express entry, how do I go on about adding my spouse to this ?

Do I file under 1.Family Program - 2. Spouse Category with my wife as the principal applicant (with no dependents)
or Should I file under Express Entry (which I have already applied for) as a principal Applicant and add my wife as a dependent. The confusing part is that when I try to add my wife as a dependent , it's asking for a dependent type A,B,C in the Dependents Section which I feel is for child dependency only based on the IRCC.ca website. Any help regarding this would be helpful as I am scratching my head around with this.

1. My file is still not reviewed by an officer but I see the security is already in progress as I see s 15 (1) in the assessment section and also in the admissibility, with notes redacted. Can they initiate security before an officer reviews the file? According to your previous comments, I understand that security is initiated only after the eligibility is conclusively passed. The latest notes were by a case processing agent.
2. My application assignment is also blank what could be the reason for that. Is it just an omission or is my file not been assigned to anyone yet?
3. Which VO evaluates the application since my file was transferred to Rome. I understand the primary VO is generally the one that sends ur PPR and secondary evaluates the applications but since my file is in Rome now will the final evaluations take place there?
