My brother in law is sponsoring my sister and his step daughter under family sponsorship. The daughter is 24 yr old and full time student, still financially dependent on her parents. Can she still be sponsored?

I thought so but their agent back home says if she was dependent before the age of 22 and is still plus a full time student the limit is 25. I doubt.

There's no doubt. The rules are extremely clear. Agent is wrong. I would worry what other mistakes this agent is going to make that could jeopardize their application. Fire the agent. He doesn't know what he's doing. Or maybe he knows what he's doing and is lying to them. Either way, get rid of him.

I think that's VERY OLD rule. In the past for a certain period, I think dependent's age was under 19 or under 25 while still a full time student (financially depending on the parents) . But that was ages ago.

It is in fact a very old rule that no longer applies. Any agent who doesn't know this should be fired and a full refund requested.
