Hello dear brothers and sisters, I recently made an account in this forum and really liked it as your posts gave me very good information regarding sponsoring my Husband.
My husband is in Afghanistan and I have sent sponsorship application in October 2013. In January 27, 2014 I got a letter from Cic that my husband applications has been sent to India .
In Feb. 15, 2014 I received from Visa Office in India, asking for the Police Certificate and receipt of payment for Permanent Resident if I haven't sent it yet. I sent a photocopy of the above documents although I already had sent the actual documents with my application by Feb 18, 2014.
After that i have not received any thing else and I am confused why they asked from the police check up certificate and receipt of Permanent Resident Fee while I already had sent it to them.
Also I do not know what will be the next step and how long it takes for my husband application to be processed and get approved or visa....
If any one have any information, I really appreciate your response?

Salam khatera sister, im exactly in the same position as u except that i submit my application in September 2013, everything else is the same as u.... and dont worry i think Next step we will soon be getting an interview inshallah but mine is a wife case

My three brother submit their spouse application in june 2013, their file got transferrd in Feb 2014 and last week got a letter for an interview in June and its in New Delhi... i submit my application 3 months after them so im guessing ill expect my interview letter in the next couple months and u should too expect it in 3 months... thats all my iimagination tho, im not 100% sure but i think thats how it will work...

Yes brother jan, I didn't do it! I also paid by credit and on statement it shows that they took their 5$ already!!! Hopefully, it's okay! But it ya once again, it's says optional.

Your welcone! And yes they are my own brothers living with me in the same house haha and they are planning to go to afg land pick up their wives and go to india together for an interview... i will share their experience once they are done with the interview and i cant wait for my interview too to go togrther with my janem!!
And ofcourse their wives will take their passports with them incase they ask them for a visa issuance right away after the interview, no one knows yet only Allah (swt) knows what will happen and i wish they give visa after the interview...

NOTIFICATION OF RECEIPT FROM VISA OFFICE IN INDIA & RECEIVED EMAIL: 30.03.2014 plus request for Police Clearance & Payment Receipt; IF NOT ALREADY SUBMITTED.

I MAILED BACK: 01.04.2014 I still mailed them COPIES of the above documents.
