Thanks for the reply, how would one go about informing them on making changes? is there a number or will we have a case number and place to mail to and is there going to be new forms for changes?
a copy of her current passport is required for the application, so you will want to send the application with her maiden name with a copy of her current passport. she will want to change her name as soon as possible, and when she gets her new passport, all she will have to do is send a new copy of it to the visa office. when you are approved as a sponsor, the letter will include instructions on how to contact the visa office (generally by email, fax or mail). Also, if/when she receives her passport request, she again just needs to send a copy of her new passport. it's not an issue at all and is very common. you will not need to fill out any new forms. many applicants do this, and it's far better to change your name during the process than after.

we used the credit card form for our payment option
I used the same option and it took 2.5 months before they took the money from the cc. I sent mine Nov 10th and they are working on it now with an estimated time of March 10th for me to get it in the mail. It takes FOREVER! Some people actually get through the whole PR process faster than the FBI can do identity summaries. :p

Were filling out the forms and were on the additional family information form, and is if theres other family members being sponsored only? or does she need to fill it out about herself too and if so is she go under applicant or spouse?

also with the additional dependant/declaration forms do we need to fill those out if its just her?

only the applicant fills out the form, making sure to include their canadian sponsor as the spouse. the sponsor does not fill out this form. "family members" means anyone else being sponsored for PR (ie: children). this is what cic uses to determine future sponsorship eligibility.

if the form doesn't pertain to you the choices are to include them and write n/a on it and the checklist, or leave them out, making sure to write n/a on the checklist.

Okay so she will put herself in the applicant section , my info in the spouse section , nothing in the childrens section and does she need to put her sister in the brothers and sister section even if shes not being sponsored?

also Im seeing 2 different check lists and am not sure which one to use? can some link the right pdf file for the check list form?

Thanks!

If you're referring to the additional family information form, then yes, she needs to put all the requested family members.

Yes, there are 2 different checklists to include, the standard applicant's checklist, and the applicant's country-specific checklist.

agreed, she needs to fill out the form completely, including all her family information. if she doesn't have children, then she can mark it as n/a.

Me and my wife are finally ready to send all our paper work in,but after re reading the forms we have a few concerns of confussion. If anyone could give us some advice and insight it is much appreciated as usual!

Form IMM5669E (schedule background) number 8 - It is asking for personal history and dates for from and to. what date do we put in the To section if shes still presently working?

Form IMM5481E (Sponsor evaluation) number 4-7 - I do not understand what it means by number of family and persons included in undertakings in effect and not yet in effect.
4 says yourself so that is 1? and if its just me and my wife do I need to add her in there on number 6 of the form?

Thank you once again for any help!

Also do our requested documents like Passports, and identity cards, and marriage certificates need to be certified true copies and be signed by some one? or can they just be a photo copy of our original documents?

I didn't have enough space on that section and had to attach a sheet I made on excel. But I just wrote "current"

I believe this section is to show if you have sponsored other people in the past or have a pending sponsorship (not including the one you're currently doing for your wife).
4. 1 (yourself)
5. A) 1 (your wife)
B) 0 (unless you've sponsored or co-signed to sponsor some one other than your wife)

This is quoted from the DOCUMENT CHECKLIST
"Photocopies do not need to be certified. Do not send original documents unless specified as they will not be returned"

Make sure to look at the country specific document checklist as every country can be slightly different.

good luck!

I would not worry unless your wait without word passes the length of days listed on the site for stage one. If that occurs, call the call center. They won't really be much help unless the deadline is passed ( sometimes not even then to be honest). Also, if it's outland they won't be much help either ( unless they changed things since I did mine) but it still is worth a phone call in my mind.
