Thanks again!,

I am looking for information on how to get the finger prints done, the FBI website is a little confusing and im not sure if its the right thing we need it says Identity history summary... is this the right thing we need? and also is my fiance able to get her prints done at a police precinct?

any information with the process and rules thats a little more clear would be appreciated thanks!
go here, scroll down and choose option 1 (do NOT go through a channeler. CIC will not accept channeler reports no matter what it looks like):
http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks

it is pretty simple, and the steps are listed out. yes, generally she can get her fingerprints done at the police station. it depends on the town she's in and the precinct. if she can't get them done there, then she can find a fingerprint technician to do it for her (which you can find by googling your area), or worst case, do it herself. they don't need to be professionally done. the risk is not doing them correctly and wasting 12 weeks to find out the fingerprints are no good.

Thank you again for all the help.

Does my fiance have to be married before we do the medical? we are also wondering about what last name to use while filing for everything if she takes my last name do we use that? even tho all her Id's will have her family last name.

no, she does not need to be married to do the medical. (though if she plans to change her name, she will want to wait until AFTER to do the medical as to not cause confusion for CIC)

the approval paper and PR card will be issued in the name that is in her passport, so if she intends to change her name, it's advised she change her name in her passport before submitting the application (and doing the medical). otherwise, she won't be able to have any initial canadian id issued in her married name and she will have to get everything reissued later on. all she needs to change her name in her passport is to supply a marriage certificate and send in the application and passport to the passport agency. she doesn't have to change her name anywhere else first (though she will want to eventually change it with SS, credit cards, drivers license, banks, etc.)

Should she wait to do the fingerprints until after we get married and her name changed on her passport? because that takes 12 weeks and would be a big set back, so would rather do the finger prints sooner if we can unless its gonna cause problems

i don't think her police check matters, because her application is going to have her maiden name listed, she can put her married name on the FBI application under other names she's known as.

Principle applicant fee (your wife)
sponsor fee (you)
right of permanent residency fee (required for visa issuance)

the FBI considers them valid for 1 year. CIC only considers them valid for 90 days from the date it was issued.

they aren't going to deny your application. more likely than not, they will request a new one after they evaluate the sponsor's application. you are going to want to get another request in ASAP so the timing works out. once the application has been transferred to ottawa, you'll be able to send it to them and have it attached to your application. the quicker it's done, the less of a chance it delays your processing. its not a big deal. there are many people who don't submit them upfront and wait for them to be requested.
