We a family of 3 (two adults and a minor) Landed on 08-March-2016 as Permanent Residents in Calgary Alberta.
At the time of landing my wife was 28 weeks pregnant.
After landing we applied for Alberta health card which we received at our home address after two weeks.
Now the problem is that none of the Gynecologists in Calgary hospitals are accepting my wife as their patient.
she is now 34 weeks pregnant and till now she has not visited a gynecologists as none of them have accepted her as their patient.
She has been visiting a general physician in a walk in clinic in NE Calgary and that Doctor is also trying to setup a appointment for my wife but it has failed it now. which has become really frustrating for our family as you can understand.
PLUS the general physician has told her that my wife pregnancy is "High Risk" meaning that she might need a C-Section surgery to deliver the child
Is there anything we can do to make this process of selecting a gynecologist easier/quicker ? we are really frustrated right now and wont mind even if we have to go to a private doctor to get my wife's checkups done.
any Help/advice will be highly appreciated.
