Having a near perfect English score is not as easy as you guys think considering the fact that most international students are immigrants who do not have English as their native language. I am an international student and I am talking based on the scores of most of my friends. Very few of us are actually going the express entry route as contacting home based employers to get reference letters is proving to be a herculean task. Majority of us are relying on PNP for provinces that consider Canadian degrees as a route to PR.

With PNP cutoff at 786, candidates with just 186 points got invites. I am very curious to see the effect of LMIA point reduction. That is an insane drop. People who were sitting comfortable at 600-800 points must be terribly upset right now. 600 to a mere 50 is nuts.ashwinbavdekar said:And hence my hope for a reasonable CRS score still holds strongI really hope it comes to 476 soon...just giving myself more reasons to hang on.

As I said in another thread, LMIA going from 600 to 50 > or < student scores shooting 15-30 points? Even if LMIA applicants are lesser, the effect is more significant, so my feeling is cutoff will lower.
