If only some of the Visa Office's could get their asses in gear. Mississauga moving faster doesn't mean a whole lot when its such a small portion of the overall waiting time.

It means a lot for people who are waiting on the first part of their sponsorship application. ;)

Keep thinking positive. We are all waiting. I understand the frustration though. :(

It's better than nothing. Lol☝️

Agreed! At this point I am happy to see any kind of moment and we are all just starting the process.
;D ;D

After you guys are here along enough you will notice that the speeding up and slowing down of processing by the different offices seems to operate on some sort of cycle. They all seem to take their turns at running through things quick and then appear to almost stop. No need to worry everything happens in time.

Chris.

Questions:

After getting the SA letter. What is the next step? My visa office is in Lebanon. What would i expect to receive next?

thank you for the positive thoughts Chris!

Also, when checking the online status,

Under "identification type" Is the Client ID number my UCI number?

Also, the surname and date of birth and place of birth, is that referring to the sponsor or applicant?

Everyone needs to be positive. It is a process...and there are ups and downs through out it unless you are very lucky.

We had our fair share of downs too even before sending in the app just during the preparation....Including non policy enforcement to obtain a PCC. Its lost in the forums here somewhere... but in order for my wife to obtain her PCC from Thailand (she was a resident there), as unusual as it is, the Royal Thai would not permit my wife to apply for it until I was with her in person! I had to supply in person my passport and copy of which I had to sign in front of an officer.

Again lost in the forums...My wife had issues with her medical the doctor refusing to upload it saying she would be denied! That she had to take a monitor home etc all being extra charges involved.

Our road may not appear to have been long, but there were many bumps along the way. One just cant let the bumps get you feeling down..

All related to sponsor

Currently my application (I'm sponsoring my fiancee) is at this step: SA recieved, and the application now sent to the Ottawa office (rather than the Sydney one we expected). We got SA over two weeks ago, so I presume the Ottawa office has received the files (I've seen on this forum that they don't tend to send out a AOR2).

So, basically, I'm assuming we'll be at this stage for a while now. My question is: What, if anything, might we expect in between now and when the decision is made? Will it be silence with no updates on the ECAS site? Or will we see some suggestion that they're working on it? I have no idea how the process works between now and when they make the final decision.

Cheers for any help.
