The medicals are only valid for 1 year then how come they are telling to wait 14 months ?

Good point, and I have already renewed my work permit once. If they continue doing in this manner, I have to ask for renewal again. Disgusting....

they do an extension of medicals or you have to do it again.

That's a good point I'm not sure what's going to happen to his application. It makes no sense but there a lot of people that have taken another medical due to they're medicals have already expired.

I think they are just threatening the applicants by saying not to email them and that it will take 14 months so that the applicant doesn't email them again...my sister friend got the same reply but in his case they didn't mention anything about the 14 months thing but they did told him that not to email again and if he does ghat again they will close his file and he will have to start the pr process all over again

Two of the people who have already landed in our group applied alone with no other family members.

My application is a family of four (two adults and two dependents in the 18-21 age category). and we are still waiting.

It would be interesting to correlate the speed of approvals with the number of people in an application.

That would be an interesting addition to add these parameters to the tracking spreadsheets.
One column for number of people in the application,
one for number of dependents under 18,
one for number of dependents 18-21.

Woww .... thats really something .... i know that they mention the following lines " In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office." .. this is very polite and reasonable .. but what you heard is pretty rough and isnt appropriate (that too from a government office) .... out of curiosity ... can you share those lines as they were written ... !!

I know about the processing times, but thing here is about playing fair game. How come applicants filed in Aug and late sep are getting their PPR's and applicants who filed in late June and the whole month of July are still waiting....Mp will consider if you explain them your situation

i am also late june applicant. i have contacted the mp last month and cic people told him to wait until june. if i will not hear something my june then i should contact them again. this is so frustrating ....

Sinp too...wow so many sinp applicants out here. Don't know what are they doing with our files... Guess they will grant us a citizenship instead of giving us a PR, soon we will find s canadisn passport in out mailbox jk
