I have a feeling Ottawa is almost going to be a bit slow, as so many have been transferred to Ottawa... kinda wishing it had maybe gone to Sydney... oh well ravi@yahoo

Did any one March SA received any update or medical request from Ottawa office as waiting for my parents file.
It was Nov 2010 file case and still waiting for update as last update was 17 March when rec SA and now thinking it might be medical. File transfer to Ottawa office

I have applied to sponsor my parents on 12th Nov 2011. Submitted Additional documents on 25th Nov 2015.
And on 24th Feb 2016 I have received a letter stating the following, does that mean that I am in 2015 Queue?
This letter is in reference to your application to sponsor your parents. Our Office contacted you by way of letter to submit a complete application for permanent residence with all required forms and supporting documents for your parents.
Your application was received on November 25, 2015 and we have determined that your application is complete. Your application is now in the processing queue and will be processed based on the date that the complete application was received.
Request to provide your point of view please

That letter is an AOR or Acknowledge of Receipt. This signifies that your application is now complete from a documents' perspective, aka "met R10 requirements". Next step is Sponsor Approval and that really varies. For example, I recieved AOR back in Oct 2015 and didn't get Sponsor Approval until mid-April 2016. In the past, some have gotten Sponsor Approval in as little as two months after AOR.
As for a 2015 Queue, not sure if there is anything like that as PGP visa quotas don't roll over into next year; at least I have found no evidence of it. The line about your appication being in queue means its now ready to be processed and will be looked at in order of when it was considered complete i.e. processed after all the completed apps from Nov 24 and prior are looked at.

Hi just called cic ...agent said for approval 11 month from the Aor received. ....if won't get anything contact them....
I was told the same thing both by CIC call centre and my MP's office, but I pushed back hard with my MP's office saying that 2014 cases are being approved, and CIC sent me approval within a few days. After 2014 cases, now 2015 applicants are receiving sponsorship approvals ahead of 2011 applicants. So, up to you whether you wanna wait or push back and demand answers.

i tried to contact mp as well ..they r saying my file is within normal processing time................feeling helpless...its getting harder to wait...i do not trust their service first come first serve....
My MP's office told me the same thing by checking the processing times on CIC website. I told them that the processing times on CIC website is incorrect as CIC is not updating it, because I know for a fact that 2014 applicants are receiving sponsorship approvals. Then she took this message to CIC, and it worked - I received approval within a few days.

My family sponsorship file is submitted on april 2011....and then end of august 2014 i received a letter....and now online application status shows that my application is in process...and processstarted on 24 april 2015...

In Majority of cases, OnLine Application Status in not true status of your application.Kml boparai said:
