I think Ottawa office is running a bit slow due to the number of applications that are transferred there

CIC call agents are useless. I wouldn't waste my time on that. Instead, contact your MP's office or e-mail John McCallum.

Today i called CPC-M, to find out about the status of my Sponsorship Approval, Call center Agent initially asked me when did i submit my initial application (Sep 2011), when did you submit Additional documents (Nov 2015), when did you get Acknowledgement (Feb 2016)

Once this information was provide, he stated that i was with in their 11 Month window from Second Acknowledgement data, therefore he declined to look into the status of my case. it was a tough argument, but at the end of the day it was of no use.

When asked about the status message on the CIC website and GCMS Notes, he technically did not want to say they were not accurate and at the same time did not say they do reflect true status of our application

Bottom line they would look into my case only, once I have crossed the set processing target windows for each task (2nd AOR to Sponsorship Approval is 11 Months)

Can folks comment on what I have got form CIC is ture of false?

Please send us scanned versions of the requested documents. Do not submit originals unless otherwise stated

Is this the PPR request everybody gets? I though we had to mail the original passport?

Any advice?

I am still waiting from Ottawa after rec sponsorship approval in Mar 2016 no news. I notice in the sponsorship block cic site it said processing start date and then dependent list it put my Mom and my younger brother name but my younger brother not dependent and in application also mentioned he is not accompany as its only my parents in PR application. any one have any idea? Hope rec medical within month finger crossed

Last year lots of medicals started to be sent in Apr-May. I hope all waiting still get their cases finalized soon.
I hope you get your medical request soon.

when did you receive second AOR
when did you receive Sponsorship Approval

Checked ECas and the Permanent Residence Application Status now says "In Process".
Not sure if it amounts to anything yet but at least feels like things are moving along. =)

Well it means you are no longer able to get a refund on fees paid once a file goes into active processing.
Not that you would want a refund having waited for 5 years to get here.
