My online status shows in process since last to last week and it says we started processing your case on march 06,2016. But I haven't heard anything from CIC yet. Does this mean that they transferred my file to the local visa office? ????

Hi Harman,

My online status changed to 'In Process' only last week but i do not see the 'Started Processing' date anywhere.

I can only see the modified date at the bottom of the page which is 12th Dec 2015.

Modified date on my status page shows dec 15,2015 and it clearly says we started processing your case on march 05,2016.

Wait for approx three months from the date "We started processing your case" to get the sponsorship approval email and file transfer to LVO, As long as no additional documents are required.

Really don't know what they are doing. Its going to be 5 years next month since I filed my application for my parents. I don't know how long the wait is going to be.

Yes I've received a letter on the mail dated March 15,16 stating that it is pending review by an officer. I thought it is normal procedure. I'm not sure if others had the same experience.

Hi ksenya, in case, you are in charge of the spread sheet, please change my applying date from July to May 2011. I made the mistake on that one.

In our case we didn't receive any letter from CIC regarding "pending review".
We just found out about it in GCMS notes. Then we once sent a case-specific inquiry to CIC to which they replied that our file is pending review by an officer.

online status since 1Jan saying its in process..after 3 month i received email that pending review by an officer....it means still in processing queue. cic did not touch it yet?

It's not true that we need to submit extra documents...

assuming that data provided to KSENYA is accurate, and folks have completed theirs files to best of their knowledge. it appears that it taking about Six to Nine months to get Sponsorship approval notice.

so in short another one or two years wait time,

Meanwhile all we can do is Pray to GOD hopping for the following

a. CIC would not come up with another new set of Process or documentation
b. Pray to GOD requesting him not to have another natural disaster or another refuge circuses
c. In order to keep CIC books clean, they could discard / reject you file if its kept for a long time in processing queue (there were some cases dumped after six to eight years of wait time in the past for PR)
d. If we don’t get our parents in next two years, by then we would be in fourth year of Labral government & files would not be moving, and if the government changes, forget about bringing your parents.
e. Most of the parents would be in theirs early late 70 or early 80, rejected on medical grounds. Or you parents not be willing to move.

Good news for this batch of May-Nov 2011 cases.
The first case of passport request has been received for a case filed in Aug 2011.

It has been posted on the 2010 thread by a forum member.

Yep, I checked and it seems Fel 's Mom got passport request yesterday and on Apr 4th she had received the Medical Request.

I think now requests are getting processed faster in LVO's other than Ottawa since there is less load/line ups in those LVO's.

Hopefully things in Ottawa will move fast too

My mom has received passport request this morning from local LVO.

Now I am thinking where to send the passport for PR to my local office or Ottawa. I am concerning that in Ottawa this process can take much longer time.

Hi Fel, many congratulations.

Did you receive the medical request from Ottawa or LVO? Were you asked to submit any additional documents with the medical to LVO?

My parents have been asked to submit IMM008/ IMM5406 and Schedule-A along with completed medicals within 60 days to LVO.
