Immigrating to CanadaEFFECTIVE December 23, 2010: If you are submitting a language test with your application, the results are now valid for 2 years from the time you took the test, instead of 1 year. This change applies to Federal skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class and Business Class Immigrants.

guys there is a thread here called "2004 applicants", i was reading there, till now lot of them didnt got meds, and the one that got meds still waiting since that time.

are we going to have same time line ?

Hopefully not. I've been reading another forum for six months (an Iranian forum) and they made an excel file with timeline of all the users. according to them, the waiting time between updating and medical request for 2004 applicants were more than 14 months.
for 2005 applicants it was about 8 months and hence it can be less than 8 months for us hopefully. :-\

The processing of my application started on Feb. 8, 2006.
My application was transferred to the Warsaw Office on April 28, 2010.
I was contacted by the Warsaw Office to update my documents (present an entirely new set of documents) on Aug. 12, 2010. I sent them my last document on Dec. 13, 2010 and am awaiting a reply. I had been given only 3 months, within which I sent all documents except for PCCs to be issued by the Indian authorities, which took a bit longer. The Embassy told me I could sent the latter whenever I obtained them. I sent them once I obtained them, which was on Dec. 13, 2010. I am an Iranian who applied from Iran and my original Canadian Embassy was Damascus. I moved to India about 1.5 years ago, which is why I had to submit Indian PCCs as well.
From what I understand from other people's posts, I should be contacted within 6 (six) months.
I there anything anybody could share with me or I could share with anybody?

for now, you only have to wait... if everything is ok, they will contact you within 6 to 8 months and they will send you your medical documents. Just try to enjoy the inchikidana culture for now ;D

through my readings in this thread and others, my opinion is that we should start expecting to hear anything after 4-6 months of updating the file. no more than that. but also it depends on the case of the applicant.

Canada’s health care system unsustainable-IMF

Canada, 27th December: The healthcare system of Canada has been labeled as unsustainable by the International Monetary Fund in a latest report


Based in Washington, the IMF (International Monetary Fund) has stated the government and the provincial governments had been

unfair about the actual health care costs. The IMF warned that such high costs especially in the wake of ageing population are likely

to impact the budgets in the times to come.
Hence, the Canadian provinces must become more answerable to Canadians with regard to the actual healthcare costs and must

work towards ensuring best healthcare practices to be provided in the future.
Its not just the IMF that seems to be worried about the rising healthcare costs, in fact, several Canada think-tanks have been

cautioning Canada about this issue through such reports in the last few years.
The report by the IMF maintains that the IMF directors are encouraging the concerned authorities for increasing communication about

the existing challenges in order to improve the awareness of the general public.
Bringing more transparency and increasing communication about the challenges as well as long-term results will help in contributing

to the discussions regarding available solutions, the IMF report maintains.
Canada needs a new healthcare agreement after the present healthcare agreement between the provincial and the federal government

ends in the year 2014.
The current rate of transfer payments to the Canadian provinces is 6 percent annually and the Canadian government has maintained

that it will not introduce any increase in the present rate. This attitude of Canadian government has invited severe criticism.
Nonetheless, the IMF maintained in its report that the economy of Canada, in the short-term, is performing much better as compared

to the other nations.
But some key risks had been identified by the IMF in its report which include high levels of household debt as the internal risk and the

weaker outlook of the US as the biggest external risk.
It has been clearly warned in the IMF report that any increases introduced in the future rate of interest could spell more strains on the

Canadian households which are already burdened with high debts.

Next step will be Passport Request. then you have to send your passport + New photos + Landing fee to them.
You can expect this email anytime after 2 months but I know some people which are waiting for their PR for more than six months.
By the way, please write your timeline for us.
