You will likely hear from accra like 2/3 months to the end of the window period of yr medical. So I suggest you do yr bit by getting ready because before you know it you wont have time to pack. Accra is usually comes like that.

Two things certan here, It is either they issue the visa by the end of January 2011 or to re-do the medical. But am sure passport request will start coming from October till december 2010. So, worry less. I am in The same boat as you. Staar getting ready on your way to canada

june 2004 applications are still under its normal processing time. Should you check CIC website, 30 percent of the applications were finalized for 74 months, 50 percent were finalized for 77 months, 80 percent were finalized for 84 months.

At the moment, June 2004 is 75 months back from today.Therefore, according to the CIC processing time statistics, 2004 shall be finalized by the end of september through December 2010.

2005 will start receiving documents update From Novemver 2010 through Feb, 2011 and Medical request from March 2011 until June 2011. I know this, as i followed the processing trends and standardized the trends by CIC processing time on the website.

Yes, the submission still correct. Update will come soon. Mostly five- six months towards the end of six years of submission of application. June 2004 from other african countries submitted to Accra have started receiving passport request. It will get to 9ja turn soon. After, this it will be 2005 update

Got a mail from Accra yesterday dated October 5 requesting further documentation including our baby.

Now they're asking for an updated General Application for PR in Canada, form IMM 0008.

To underscore Accra's incompetence, when medicals were requested last June for baby, the letter had specifically requested us to fill only form IMM 5406 (Additional Family Information) which we did promptly instead of asking for both forms at the same time.

Anyway trust me I am dispatching the latest form via courier today and I pray and hope that the next request will only be passport request.

So folks it appears Accra is waking up from slumber and u'll be hearing from them soon. Stay blessed.

Application was submitted in June 2004, update in February 2010, medicals in April and July 2010 (Baby). My visa post is Accra, Ghana.

Any changes in your status should be reflected on your IMM008,
if you had furnished accra with the additional family information,
it is necessary and mandatory to complete a new IMM008, waiting for
them to request will take a lots of time and delays. Others should
take note of this. please. Never wait for a request but be proactive.
Send all what you think that is necessary. All those incompetence you
mentioned is just a waiting game. They know what they are doing. One
person initiates documents request,another person scrutinizes
documents. To my opinion,When the VO works on you application in the recent time he/she
later found out that you have not updated your IMM008 which it could have be done.

After this, in the next 2-4 weeks you will get your passport request.
