Hi,

I have stayed in Mumbai from jan 2012 - jun 2012 and then in toronto for next 1 year.

I understand i don't need pcc from mumbai since i am getting it done from new delhi and it's a national pcc from INDIA.

But do i need any PCC from canada, toronto i was there in 2012 for an year or do we need PCC only for where we live currently.

I came back to INDIAN in august 2013 and have been here since.

You don't need a PCC from Canada now. CIC will tell you if and when they need you to get one.

Thank you Asivad, i will get the INDIA PCC done at the earliest.

Hey Guys,

I need a good advice on my International passport issue. It expires first week in August and I was fortunate to receive ITA few days. Do I go ahead and lodge my application with the old passport and update CIC when the new one comes in 2nd week in August OR wait till I received the new passport before lodging the applications

What are the pros and cons of the 2 options.

Thanks

HAHA DO YOU WORK FOR IMMIGRATION CANADA ? YOU THINK POSTING COUPLE POSTS HERE AND THERE YOU WILL SAY WHAT EVER IS RIGHT? YOU KNOW WHAT 1500 ITA'S EVEN MEAN? IT MEAN THERE ARE ABOUT 1500 CANDIDATE ALL OVER THE WORLD WITH A SCORE OF 451. JUST SO YOU KNOW LMIA AND PNP TAKES TIME. NEARLY 3- 4 MONTHS . AND YOU ARE SAYING THE SCORE WONT COME DOWN BELOW 450 BECAUSE YOU READ COUPLE POSTS HERE AND THERE AND MAKING A JUDGEMENT . YOUR ANSWER IS IRRELEVANT. THE SCORE HAS TO COME DOWN BELOW 450 IN A DRAW OR TWO .

Crikey! That's a bit harsh :(.

And, IMO, your reasoning is flawed: we don't know that ~1500 candidates had 451 points; for all we know, 10% had 451 or close to that (over, obviously) & 90% had considerably more.

I'll admit, along with the OP, that I'm not expecting the score to drop much more this year; I think it might even jump in the next draws. But that's just an opinion, to which we are all entitled, so don't shout at me, please :).

As your ITA is valid for 60 days, get your new passport and update your post ITA application before submission. It is always easier to do this because this piece is completely under your control. If you submit the application first and then want to make changes to it, you'll have to send in a CSE to them and they might take longer to respond or not respond at all. No point taking that risk if you can get your new passport before your ITA expires.

All the best!

Do I also advice I still use the old passport to process my PCCs. Processing time only takes few days in the countries I have lived in; OR do I also wait till I get the new passport before commencing PCC processing.

If you're confident then wait it out. Else, get them now and attach an LOE to explain the discrepancy.

Thanks bro.

I think I would go ahead and use the old for the PCC and back it up with an LOE, however, I would definitely wait for the new passport before submitting my final application.

Hi guys...hope you can help me with this...

my passport expires mar2016, just got my ita last weekend and i still have over 50days for submission. is it better to renew my passport now (can take up to 30days to process) before submitting? or submit then change the passport details in my profile later? also, if i submit later with my new passport details, do i need some sort of explanation and substantiation on why i changed it in my profile?
