Hi Here is my timeline: Mailed application - March 13 Started processing application - May 13 ( and recevied the booklet ) and no response so far. Local office is Mississauga, however my file is transferred to Ottawa. I made a request to transfer the file to Mississauga. Still waiting...

Congratulation to everyone to who got their citizenship but what about the rest. It looks like nobody is getting any response from CIC anymore. What does everyone think? :D

If I were in your shoes I would call to CIC and ask them to transfer the file. The sooner the better. Good luck.

My timeline is: Sent the application in March. 2013 processing started in May 2013 it was transferred to Ottawa in Jan. 2014 I called cic call center. They send a file transfer e-mail to Ottawa. Did you talk with them?

I have the same problem. I moved to Mississauga however, my file is transferred to Ottawa. CIC call center told me that it may take 2-3 months to transfer the file. Good luck with the wait time. When did you apply? Would you please share your timeline? Cheers.

You are lucky Suin, I applied in March, they started the process in May and my file never transferred to local Mississauga office. I called them this week, they told me that it is normal. Current waiting time is 25 months yada yada yada... Should I worry about?

Why don't they charge for $5000 for an expedited citizenship application? It is good for the applicant and it will give CIC a chance to hire more people. It will be a win-win situation. Isn't it?

It looks like it takes 2 months to get a response from CIC. So, do not panic. I will take 25 to 35 months which is so long.
