Nope Went straight from "Application Received" to "In Process" I had sent my wife's Medical Receipt and Police Clearance Certificate with the package to the Mississauga office.

MYRAH you're theory is right.... My wifes file finally went into "In Process" today.... I wasn't even going to check today.....just cause I was fed up of seeing "Application Received". Feel so HAPPY right now ;D And also a bit shocked :o :o :o :o

Thanks you so much! Been waiting forever!! I know someone mentioned that perhaps applying for notes might trigger status change or perhaps based on the date the passport was submitted.... I applied for notes October 7th and my wife's passport reached NDVO around May 15th.

If you have received your Passport Request then I suggest you send it right away so you're in queue....just make sure the following 3 points are addressed: •Payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid...

I wonder where these guys have burried my wife's file. Her passport was received just when they went on strike. Curious to see what my notes will say next week.

Medicals were fine as far as I know, cause the Doctors don't usually share the results. My MP said the usual BS like ....oh it hasn't been that long since you've applie....and to get in touch in December. I FINALLY applied for GCMS notes Oct 6th....so will see what comes up in Nov 7th...then I'm...

Yeah my daily routine for the past few months has been....come into the office, log on to check ECAS status then view what's happening in the forum...then check work emails...then check ECAS again, then visit forum again lol

I know....this sponsorship system they currently have in place is not the best. I'm sure once you're closer to December and book your ticket that feeling won't be as bad ;) Till then just patience, paitence and more patience....and hope the NDVO officer looks at our file between his/her samosa...
