New version to come. As expected, the version that was open to edit was not efficient.

    Good Immigration Lawyer in Ontario?

Not to make you nervous, but here's my issue with lawyers: CIC says that the requirements are pass/fail. I fear if they are reluctant to consider your experience as applicable now, they probably wouldn't do so again, even if you file with a lawyer. What would a lawyer do in this case??

Do you not see the irony in asking "why is this thread going around in circles?"

i don't think he's going to understand that no one, certainly not me in my initial post, made it personal until him. he's just not going to get it. i feel as if maybe he's one of those people i described in my post so he got defensive. and you're right. i was merely offering an observation, and...

Generally simple, as in i was the only applicant, have been in canada since university, never travelled abroad, etc. i got my medical requests 6 months after i applied. but then nothing for the next 8 months. basically, i was told my app was going through the background check. so, my eligibility...

need help for the job title please!

Your challenge will be choosing a job that has a relevant title, but also the duties. It's the duties that matter. There are infinite job titles, but only a fixed number of duties that are applicable. What are your options, specifically? What jobs are available to you in each of the two places...

Errors in the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CPR)

Keep your CoPR. I mailed mine back for the exact reason as yours. They called me and said it isn't an issue as it won't prevent me from landing. So, they mailed it back within 2 weeks, unaltered. i'm going to land with it.

No. I'm saying budget for AT LEAST the average times listed. You may get yours approved in 8 months, like some people here, or it may take you exactly 14 months. For me, I got my passport request EXACTLY 14 months from the day they received my application. Probably a coincidence, but my...

I am a CEC applicant. So naturally, I'm going to post in a subsection that applies to me, and because it's a sub-section that I visit the most. Immigration isn't limited to applications. So, not all of the questions on here have to do with how to obtain birth certificates, or what to do if you...

think about this, after you become PR

it's amazing the turn this thread took. i expected people to come after me with guns blazing, but didn't expect people to want to end this thread. it's as if i chose someone specifically, disclosed their identity, and attacked them personally. typical attitude of some here: we don't like what...

think about this, after you become PR

Define 'value'. To people like you, value means you ask a question and someone answers it for you so that you don't have to do research for yourself. Most of these questions are simple, and can be answered by going to the CIC website. Things like "Is my IELTS score eligible?" or "I am only 10...

think about this, after you become PR

Well, that's totally legitimate reason to go back. My issue is with people who know BEFORE they get approval that they will likely not live here. That to me is the unethical applicant, applying in bad faith. On the other hand, if you get your PR thinking you'll settle in Canada permanently, but...

think about this, after you become PR

So how many people who've read it/reading this thread intend to remain in Canada permanently, as in, actually live and work here, barring unexpected visits abroad? How many are getting their PRs, but really intend to be here just to fill the minimum residency obligations, and enjoy the benefits...

You are completely outwitted here. You are so defensive. I didn't attack you in my post; just people who clog up the system with disingenuous applications. Maybe you're one of them, which is why you're so defensive. I didn't post it in general forum because I am a CEC applicant.

you are depressing. this is a forum, not a CIC website. here is the definition of a forum, you illiterate: A meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged. That's the defintiion of a forum. I had a VIEW (see the definition of forum above) on a...

i felt my opinion was valuable so i offered it; as did you. i didn't throw stones at any one. i'm just saying that there are people who abuse the system and in they are part of the application queue. like everyone else, i'd rather prefer to get my application approved the fastest possible. as...
