Can I apply for open work permit??

You can't get an open work permit, if your nomination and PR application is based on a job offer from a specific employer. Only certain AINP nominees are excluded from this rule. If you did somehow get an open work permit, then technically you could change employers, but you would have to...

URGENT: BOWP denied while implied status (Inland PR SINP)

Ultimately the decision to grant you the PR is made at the border when doing your final landing. That's when the officers will question you for the last time to make sure you qualify for PR. If they find out that you don't, in fact, qualify, then they will not issue the PR. If you're an inland...

Can I travel outside of Ontario for my work while my file is under process ?

Generally you are allowed to travel while your file is being processed. If your travelling is work-related, and the official location of your worksite and company is in Ontario, you should be fine. It won't have an effect on your PNP or PR case - but keep in mind that in the PR application you...

URGENT: BOWP denied while implied status (Inland PR SINP)

Apply for restoration right now. You have 90 days to do it, but you should do it as soon as possible anyway. Because your BOWP was rejected, you are now out of status and can't legally work. Your PR application should still be OK, but only if you get your restoration soon enough, because as far...

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

Yes, you can apply online I believe. Make sure to submit the application within 90 days of the day when your status expired. And don't leave Canada for any reason before your status is restored.

March - April PNP PR Batch :)

I don't know the details about your process, but your post caught my attention. You cannot get restoration at the border. The only way to restore status is to send an application to Vegreville. I can't stress this enough. Do not go to the border if you've lost your status and need restoration...

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

If you're referring to the date that's on the lower right corner of the page in ECAS - it doesn't mean that. It's just a timestamp for when the infrastructure of the site was updated, not the content. And the date is actually November 4, not April 11.

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

I sent both email and regular mail. But the receipt was logged as having been received at CIC only 2 days after I sent them, which suggests that they got the email receipt first and logged that into their system. So I'd say email is enough.

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

If I were you I wouldn't renew the WP just yet. I'd wait at least until early June before doing it. Based on recent timelines here, it's quite a fast transition from RPRF fees to IP, and many people here have gotten PPR after just a few weeks after IP.

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

Just to give a comparison, I paid my RPRF upfront and got IP on Apr 9. mj_paredes from the July thread applied on the same day I did (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/pnp-pr-july-2014-batch-t265276.0.html). He got RPRF request on Apr 8, and paid it right away. Two...

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

There are no set rules about it. They more or less go by order of receipt, but because every single case is different they can never guarantee that two applicants from the same day get processed at the exact same pace.

    any one the answer

Both are true. They work on a bunch of different months at the same time. It's not like they only start working on month B once the entire month A is done, because some cases take longer than others (because they have to run different checks, wait for responses from various...

    PNP PR July 2014 Batch

Guys, I just checked ECAS and it shows IP!! :o I checked earlier today also and it was still Application Received, so it must have gotten updated within the last few hours. I'm a BC PNP skilled worker applicant with a job offer and no dependants. Timeline is on the left. It says they started...

I have the exact same timeline as you! Congrats on the RPRF request! I paid mine upfront a while back so I won't be getting the request. Hopefully things will keep moving!

Confusion in the LMIA ADVERTISEMENT REQUIREMENT

The advertisement must be posted for at least 4 weeks, and those 4 weeks must fall within the 3 previous months from when the application is submitted. So let's say the advertisement is put up on April 1st. It means it can't be taken down before April 30. (My two cents are that it should stay...
