Is Birth Certificate mandatory for PR application ?

Birth certificate as such is not mandatory, if you home country's government doesn't issue them, but some sort of government-issued proof of birth is. I'm from a country that doesn't issue birth certificates, so I sent an equivalent document issued by the national registry that contains the...

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

Take a look at the original Schedule A you sent with your application - most likely there's just a gap between dates that's unexplained/unaccounted for. It's easy to make that mistake when you're putting in a decade's worth of information. Basically just make sure you don't leave a single day...

PNP withdraw if Employer doesn't sign IMM5802?

It has to be the employer that pays the fee. The applicant can't do it for the employer, or without the employer's consent. That's why it's called Employent Compliance Fee. The fee is there to show to CIC that the employer is still willing to support the employee.

    Common Law

I don't know too much about applying with a common-law as such, but it's my understanding that tips/gratuities (or bonuses, commissions, overtime pay etc.) don't count towards the required income levels. It needs to be the "base" wage that's high enough on its own. Or at least this is the case...

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

File transfer hasn't happened yet. Paper file location is still CIO Sydney. I'm not sure what it means that RPRF was recorded by Ottawa and not Sydney - might just be that they happened to be the first to react to my email. I'm ordering new notes right now so by the time I get them hopefully...

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

CIO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca, CPPO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca and CPC-CTD-Ottawa @ cic.gc.ca. Basically I looked through what addresses other people have used, and sent it to all of them to be sure. First one is Sydney and the other two are Ottawa. It says on my GCMS notes that the RPRF was...

    PNP PR APPLICATION JUNE 2014

I just got my newest GCMS notes (generated February 27). No progress really, except they've received my RPRF. I'm stunned actually, how quickly they recorded the RPRF into the system - I sent the receipt by email on February 25 and it was recorded as paid on February 27. I also sent a copy by...

Waiting for Nomination, Implied status as a visitor on IEC?

Did you work while you were on implied status?

Waiting for Nomination, Implied status as a visitor on IEC?

Are you talking about getting a visitor status or WP at the border? If you're just wanting to get visitor status, I wouldn't be worried about getting refused since UK is a visa-exempt country. Again, this is exactly what I did before I got my nomination. Just be sure to have proof that you've...

Waiting for Nomination, Implied status as a visitor on IEC?

You can't get implied status from IEC, because IEC visas are not extendable.

Waiting for Nomination, Implied status as a visitor on IEC?

    1) You're allowed to stay as a visitor while waiting for your nomination to come through, and you can apply for the visitor status online. If you're from a visa-exempt country, you can also just go down to the States and come back to Canada as a visitor (that's what I did in 2013). If you're...

PNP PR APPLICATION TO FEDERAL CIC - MAY 2014

Awesome! Congrats! Things seem to be moving pretty fast at CIC these days.

February 2014 PNP applicant that already submitted their application to NS CIO

Not to cause concern or anything, but take notice that concealing your pregnancy/giving birth might get you in trouble with CIC later on. Obviously they won't check up on you after getting your PR or anything like that. But if you eventually apply for citizenship for example, when they do all...

Please help: Is T4 summary or Payroll remittances required for BC PNP??

These documents aren't required for BC PNP. As far as I know they're only required for LMIA.

    border crossing

Just to confirm - you've made sure that you're allowed to switch employers? If you have an employer-specific WP now, then as far as I know you need to stay with that employer until your PR comes through (unless you're an Alberta nominee which I assume you're not). But there may of course be...

    border crossing

I did this about a month ago. I had applied online for a WP in early January, but I became worried that I'm not going to get it before my old WP would expire (Feb 12). So I went to the border and asked for a new WP. After a bit the two officers said that they can see I've already applied...

    Nomination Documents - BC PNP

And also - I didn't need the actual nomination certificate to get a WP extension. When I went down to the border I hadn't received the mailed documents yet. But it was still fine. I just had the initial acceptance email and the support letter (plus required work-related docs such as job offer)...

    Nomination Documents - BC PNP

For me, getting the mailed documents took about 3 weeks when I was nominated last year. I got the support letter with the acceptance email, because I had indicated earlier that I need to go back to work as soon as possible. If you didn't tell them already that you need the letter, then I...

    BC PNP Forms

They're not asking for the original offer of employment. They want a written and current job offer so that the PNP office can be satisfied that the company is genuinely wanting to hire the person. It's similar to what an official job contract would be - including all the information about what...
