Did you get in touch with IRCC? They can give you more info regarding your application. Unfortunately every case is different, so there is not possible to say what is "normal"and what is not.

Mine was like that before, so I would assume that they either did not start your BGC or did not update your GCKey.

Yup, you will see the BGC line in GCKey changing to "in process". The line should be like that: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

146 days since my application was received; 65 days since the BGC/eligibility started in GCKey; 14 days since AOR2; 7 days after medical passed in GCKey. Patience is really THE word for this process :D

Transfer email is the email that the sponsor receives when the application is moved to another visa office for processing. Pre arrival services means that you have passed eligibility, and now your PPR depends only on your background check. :)

Hey there! the background check isn't done by IRCC. It's done through a third part, so it can start at any stage of the process. My started within 80 days after my application was received and it is still ongoing. By that time I didn't have neither medical request nor transfer email. ;)
