I got mine in 3-4 weeks. Generally it takes around 6 weeks. Also, pls be informed that DOB proof issued by CGI is not accepted by CIC. Better you get an affidavit done instead.

Get it from CGI. It's comparatively faster and is accepted by CIC.

Better you wait for their response. If they accept your application, you'll have your file number. Once you have it, you can send missing stuff.

For all my friends who chose Buffalo as visa office - I had sent an email to CIO Sydney asking where would my application be forwarded to as I chose Buffalo in my application. I got their reply saying it's with Ottawa office now. Relief isn't it? ENJOY!!!
