From what i know, they do stamp a one-time visa for landing purpose

Is that true even if I am currently in Canada? I figured that one time landing visa would be used in case you are applying from outside Canada and are coming in to Canada since you wouldnt have a PR card prior to travel in this case. Am I mistaken?

As far as I know , yes they do stamp one page with visa whether you are in Canada or not.

I have question:
i got AOR on 21 Aug, but while i check in ecas, looks like my record doesn't exist there.Any idea , when will my application related info be available to me and what should be the status ?is it like "application received" ?

It looks like they update that every Monday.

check back next Monday and it would be changed.

thanks y3knik for the reply.
Today i checked , i can see my status in ecas, and status is "Application Received".

So, for the July applicants who have recieved an AOR, what is the next step in the process?

Back to waiting I guess...

Waiting for what though? Another acknowledgement? Medical request?

for you guys it is going to be another AOR when the file gets transferred to Ottawa then medicals.

Hello Guys! today I realised that I filled out the personal history section of Background Declaration form incorrectly as I forgot to mention a period of 8 months when I was unemployed, apparently CIO missed to notice that as well :) and accepted my application for processing as I already got the AOR, so I was wondering should I let it go or send them the new corrected form? what you guys suggest?

Send them the corrected form, you received the AOR to acknowledge that you signed all the papers and made the payment, but actually your app was not yet studied by an officer. now that you get your file number submit that document right away before it reaches to the officer who will review it.

Agreed, if corrected form is not send then it would cause unnecessary delay in processing the application

Hi , Can anyone post sample of AOR ( July Applicants only as it seems to be faster) they received hiding personal details. Also was just wondering if you guys received File Number in AOR?

Just want to double check after receiving AOR.
It's OK to leave Canada at this stage right? Applicants are allowed to leave Canada for a home visit with valid visa/passport?

For all my friends who chose Buffalo as visa office -

I had sent an email to CIO Sydney asking where would my application be forwarded to as I chose Buffalo in my application. I got their reply saying it's with Ottawa office now.

Relief isn't it?

ENJOY!!!
