What would be the best option to bring spouse while we are on closed work permit with CEC processing ?

If your spouse wants work here then better to process open WP, evne though i suggest open WP, both will take same amount of processing time.

i prefer open WP...

I have searched CIC website for this information. But I could not find it.

If you came through a company then the company itself will get you open WP if you ask for it.

If you are applying on your own then there is an option to chose open WP for your wife.

If your wife already has a visitor visa then you/your company can apply for status change.

Go through the IMME forms for work permit extension.
