I assume that CIC does not have a problem with your wife but only with you (the husband). Have you consider splitting files so at least your wife gets citizenship? Female applicants who got RQ get a relatively fast processing so probably your issues are delaying your wife from getting...

I can't really give you particular interpretation. But from my experience CIC is much more lenient towards female applicants than to male counterparts. Therefore whatever happens I am guessing that it will be a very smooth process for your wife. Good luck.

When you call the call center they tell you that if you use bad or intimidating language the agent will disconnect you. I have never seen such a message in any federal or provincial institution I have been dealing with. Seems they get many angry calls.

Looks like the older the application is , the lower your priority. I have seen 2014 applicants who received RQ and are already citizens but here is a 2011 applicant still waiting for his oath.

I guess it goes agent by agent. I have called last month and really nice lady answered and gave me new details about my file. And it has also happened to me in the past that agents were informative. On other occasions they were not informative at all - such as in the latest case. The worst was...

I called the call center yesterday and the agent refused to give me any information since it has not been 36 months since application (just 34 months ). Maybe I will call again and hopefully I will land on a nice agent who are willing to give information (as was the case many times in the past).
