    De-coupling of Family Application

The travelling spouse should disclose all his travels and given the citizenship if he meet the residency criteria and denied oterwise. Giving citizenship to one spouse while delaying the other is equivalent to saying that the wife is truthful whereas her husband is a potential liar (I know that...

    De-coupling of Family Application

I agree with you totally but it seems CIC officers disagree with you. Or how else would you explain many cases (including mine) where the wife receives citizenship whereas husband stays in limbo for many months and years? My wife became a citizen a year and a half ago whereas it appears that my...

FINGERPRINTS after TEST/RQ PLEASE share your knowledge

I assume that CIC does not have a problem with your wife but only with you (the husband). Have you consider splitting files so at least your wife gets citizenship? Female applicants who got RQ get a relatively fast processing so probably your issues are delaying your wife from getting...

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker Thank you very much. Hopefully you will join your wife and become a citizen soon. It has been a long time since I ordered an atip (last one was december) so my last atip shows no activity.

Got my wife's case ATIP, please help to interpret

I can't really give you particular interpretation. But from my experience CIC is much more lenient towards female applicants than to male counterparts. Therefore whatever happens I am guessing that it will be a very smooth process for your wife. Good luck.

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker I don't know if to believe them or not. Clearances should only take a couple of weeks to complete (up to 6 weeks). But some people in these thread have been waiting for them for months. Not to mention...

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker I also got the message from call center agent in late May that my case was approved and now waiting for clearances before oath. My file is still "in process" however. I tried to call again last week but was...

When you call the call center they tell you that if you use bad or intimidating language the agent will disconnect you. I have never seen such a message in any federal or provincial institution I have been dealing with. Seems they get many angry calls.

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Looks like the older the application is , the lower your priority. I have seen 2014 applicants who received RQ and are already citizens but here is a 2011 applicant still waiting for his oath.

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker Hi Vinaypury, I am happy for you since it looks like your file has been moving. Look like after giving your wife citizenship many many months ago , Erin found a few minutes of her spare time...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

I think it is in the best general interest if this person gets fired. The fact that most other agent do give some information means that there is no procedure or directive forbidding him to give information. Probably this guy is too lazy to verify my identity and look through my file and the...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

I guess it goes agent by agent. I have called last month and really nice lady answered and gave me new details about my file. And it has also happened to me in the past that agents were informative. On other occasions they were not informative at all - such as in the latest case. The worst was...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

I called the call center yesterday and the agent refused to give me any information since it has not been 36 months since application (just 34 months ). Maybe I will call again and hopefully I will land on a nice agent who are willing to give information (as was the case many times in the past).
