Missing stamp on entry to Canada resulted in a RQ

For me there was a trip which I declared and for which I had stamps in my passport however there was no record of my entry to Canada which resulted in RQ. It has been two years since I submitted my RQ (post test) and still haven't received the oath. My RQ could have easily avoided had the CIC...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

I had the same issue. Was told that everything is fine at the interview and sent RQ later. After ordering CBSA records it turned out that one of my entries was not recorded although I have a Canadian entry stamp in the passport and the ATIP confirms this was the reason for the RQ. Of course it...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Wow can't believe that your case was not finalized yet. If this kind of thing happened in a third world country it would not be surprising, but for it to happen in a country as advanced and developed as Canada is just mind boggling.

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker They are not on summer break necessarily . They are just busy making sure that 2015 applicants get their oaths within six months while under-privileged , un-entitled and second grade group of 2011-2013...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

The 2011-2013 related threads become really silent last few weeks. Means that probably most of the people who applied this time period have gotten their citizenship already. There are very few of us left who are still in limbo from this group.

    Urgent Processing

Fist of all congrats. I guess in CIC vantage point the Canadian immigrants society is divided into two categories: those who are entitled and those who are not entitled . Luckily for you, you belong to the first group and your file was finalized in a couple of months (as the file of the other...

When do people normally receive an RQ?

I applied well over the threshold of days (around 100 days over). I answered all the questions the interviewer asked me , regarding workplace and other with full confidence. And why wouldn't I ? All the information I declared was correct and accurate so I've got nothing to hide. At the end of...

When do people normally receive an RQ?

Back in 2013 I was slapped with a post test RQ and the reason is one missing absence (I did report it and had stamps in my passport but the CBSA did not record it ). Wondering why I got RQ if you are allowed up to 3 discrepancies. Guess the officer got up on the wrong side of the bed that morning.

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker I am in the same boat. My file was approved in late may and ECAS shows decision made since mid July. Meanwhile there has been several citizenship ceremonies in my area but was not invited to none of them...

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker MP was responsive but did not actually influence anything. I think I'll have to wait a couple of more moths as CIC clears up inventory of 2015 applicants and maybe they will have some spot for a...

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker Of course its messed up . Totally . And also unfair . However CIC staff don't care and as long as they get to keep their jobs everything is fine :)

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Not necessarily . My file was approved in mid may according to my ATIP and I have not been invited to oath. My guess is that CIC is frantically working on satisfying new applicants who paid 600$ and puts old application who paid 100$ on the back burner. A new applicant gets her oath two weeks...

@ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker

Re: @ St Clair-RQ-Preliminary review completed, referred to level 2 decision maker offices are busy scheduling oaths for new applicants. Older applicants are lower priority. My decision was made in mid may. BTW, your ECAS still says in process?

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

It is totally unreasonable to have applicants who are waiting for over 3 years on one hand , and on other hand applicants which get processed within 6 months (1 year max if they have an RQ).

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

In this case its not a man woman thing. I called the other day and a man refused to provide information and I the past there were very nice women who gave info. The call center was instructed to stop providing information about case status few weeks ago. Seems like a new policy. Having...

What if some entry / exit stamps not clear or shady ?

My issue was that I had an entry to Canada stamp in my passport however this entry was missing in the CBSA (as I found out later). At the interview the officer said that everything looks fine only to send me and RQ few days later (imagine my disappointment as I was expecting to receive oath...

    De-coupling of Family Application

At my interview I was able to present both my present and expired passports which corroborate all the trips declared by me through existence of entry and exit stamps. However the reason for my RQ , which I found only later through ATIP, was that one of the entries which I declared did not...
