    Had you provided all the relationship proof with your original application or not? I thought it was rare that British citizens get called for an interview :)

    Receiving a NOTICE after the interview (test day)

    That's rodiculous.... I think the residence calculator doesn't even accept day trips which would result in an absence of 0 days!!! It seems these folks at CIC hand out CIT-0520 randomly without any reasonable/logical grounds! This is frustrating!

    The parents/grandparents quota is a maximum number of applications they can take per year; and yes u r right when u say spousal sponsorship does not have a cap however visa offices must issue a certain number of visas on a given year under each class which is why I think u see some applications...

    The condition to be in a relationship for two years minimum after becoming PR was introduced in October 2012 so doesn't apply to you; and anyways you were together for a bit more than 2 years so you are fine... If you have been living here for 3 years in the last four then nobody can prevent you...

Just trying to understand your situation so you can tackle the concerns CIC may have; because if you were sponsored as a spouse and are now separated after...

    Medical results have been received on ECAS

    Yes mine said medicals received as soon as my husband got SA; I.e I logged into e-cad using the file number on the SA and I could see that medicals had been received; but I had done them in July so it might be the time that medicals were done that dictate when they r received

    Submitted spousal application, change intended province, is it a problem?

    When you move from quebec to anywhere else it usually isn't a problem but going from anywhere else to QC might be an issue because u require the CSQ for quebec;

    He is on implied status in Canada so no worries there; just carry proof that you applied for an extension just in case but I highly doubt they will ask; you can ask to be "refused" entry into the U.S.; no stamps, no records whatsoever, it's a very standard practice that US folks are used to...

    Misrepresentation at airport

    Kind of unlikely... However, please just ALWAYS tell the truth; it's not a crime to be in a relationship and coming to visit that person.... So much better to say straight up; I was pulled for secondary as well but I clearly gave my husbanb's name, DOB, and I said that we WILL apply for PR once...

    Just a question for which I would like to have your thoughts... I was just browsing through copies of my forms that I submitted for sponsorship and realized I made a mistake in one of the dates on IMM-5490 (question no 1 - date when u made the first contact with ur sponsor?) I put in 10-Dec-2014...

    Should first priority be given to spouses of citizens before PR holders?

    You are an immigrant whether u like it or not... If u were born in Canada then ur ancestors Immigrated to Canada; and stop making it sound like being an immigrant makes one inferior in any way...it doesn't at all! When PR's become citizens they r just as Canadian as u r in fact even when they r...

    Should first priority be given to spouses of citizens before PR holders?

    I don't agree with that view at all; I came to Canada as an international student by myself; studied here for 8 years and paid a high fees as a foreign student; then I started working right after graduating with a work permit, then got a PR and have been working since full time, paid taxes...
