That is correct! And per e-cas, they started processing my application July 29th. I never went "in process" on e-cas though. Just straight from application received to DM! :) Oh! And I received my COPR in the mail today!!! :D

If you just got SA, chances are you won't get a document request for your CSQ just yet. But I'm not sure the processing times for your visa office. Have you asked anyone on the Pretoria thread?

You can call CIC and ask them if it has been mailed yet. I did this yesterday and they told me mine was mailed Friday! If you have trouble getting information out of them, say your MP told you your application was approved and you need to know if your COPR has been mailed to arrange travel...

Regardless of when your wife's 6 months is up, she'll still be under implied status because of submitting the extension. So, you shouldn't have to worry about her being out of status... but then you also say she booked a flight? So I don't see the issue if she's leaving Canada..

I think it says not to submit two requests at the same time but I'm not positive on that. You could always try to submit another one and see what happens.

You should still see "medical received" regardless if you did them upfront or not. :) And they last a year. They will most likely extend them. Mine expired this month but I got DM with no new medical request.
